Murderesses Freed Even Without Reciprocity

Each of the signs they carry flaunts the fact that they are going free after admittedly murdering the Jews named on each sign. This was in response to the government's freeing of Arab murderesses without reciprocity.

Knesset Member Benny Alon of Moledet addresses a Women In Green protest outside of Orient House in Jerusalem. The Women In Green present a mock figure of Faisal Husseini, following in the footsteps of his relative, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, a renowned murderer of Jews and supporter of Hitler.


Israel, The Chosen Sacrificial Lamb

At a Women In Green protest rally outside the American Consulate in Jerusalem, President Clinton hands out bananas, symbolic of his treating Israel as a banana republic. Demonstrations were held at the American Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Consulate in Jerusalem to protest the unjust and one-sided pressure Clinton was putting on Israel.


A Tree Grows in Yitzhar

June 13, 1997
Ruth and Nadia Matar and the Women In Green plant a tree on the hill at Yitzhar in Samaria where Jewish-built structures had been demolished by the Government. The tree, a symbol of the indestructibility and inevitability of a Jewish presence on our ancestral land, was named after Defense Minister Yitzhak Mordechai who had authorized the demolition.

Nadia Matar (right) and Ruth Matar (second from right), leaders of Women In Green, represent Jewish civilian warriors during the "Oslo Process," who have fought to insure that Jerusalem will be, as it historically always was, the ancient and exclusive Capital of Israel.

At the Yeshivat Beit Orot annual dinner on June 17, 1997, commemorating the 30th year of the miracle of the reunification of Jerusalem, these fighters on behalf of Zion were honored for their devotion and valiant efforts in behalf of the Jewish People. Each of them received an award for helping to preserve the holiness and the Biblical uniqueness of Jerusalem, where freedom to worship is guaranteed for all.


A Tree Grows in Morag

Approve Mt. of Olives Housing

August 2, 1997
Women In Green, dressed as Arab building workers, are outside Cabinet Meeting where Netanyahu decided not to allow Jewish building on the Mount of Olives, which Jerusalem Municipality had approved.The Arabs are saying thank you to the Prime Minister for preventing legal Jewish building, while at the same time permitting Arabs to build illegally in the same area.

Stop Oslo Now

August 10, 1997
Over a mound of watermelons at the crowded Mahane Yehuda market, a week after the tragedy there, Nadia and Ruth Matar demand: "Save Israel - Stop Oslo NOW!" They were warmly received by shoppers and vendors. Joyce Boim, a Woman In Green and mother of David, an American who was murdered by Arabs, speaks at the Memorial Service a week after the Mahane Yehuda bombing. Arafat protects her son's killers from being brought to justice, along with many other Arab murderers in the territory he controls.

Kissing Oslo Goodbye

Return of Jews to Mt. of Olives

The "Peace Partners" and Friend



Women In Green brought food and flowers for the heroic besieged families who were making their home in the ancient Jewish Mount of Olives neighborhood in Jerusalem. The young families being interviewed by reporters in their modest home, while outside Peace Now supporters were egging on the Arabs to riot against the return of the Jews to this ancient section of their Capital.





A New Jewish Leadership

October 25, 1997

Nadia Matar addressed an overflow audience of more than 2,000 at the Jewish Leadership Conference at the Renaissance Hotel in Jerusalem on October 25, 1997. She, and others, called for a new Jewish leadership to lead our People into the 21st Century, a leadership more attuned to the hopes, aspirations and dreams of our ancient Jewish People, a leadership knowledgeable, learned, and proud of our magnificent heritage.

Outside the Jerusalem courthouse where Moshe Feiglin and Shmuel Sacket were sentenced after being found guilty on the preposterous charge of sedition. Women In Green and others express their continued support of the defendants' civil rights, including their democratic right of civil disobedience.


Toys to the Children

In November 1997 Women In Green traveled to Karmei Tsur to distributed toys to the children sent by American Friends of Women In Green.
