Desecration
Faisal Husseini is dead. He was a vicious enemy of the Jews, and an ardent
admirer of the policies of his uncle who worked closely with Hitler, the
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. The death of this PLO leader evoked some strange
comments on the Israeli evening news. Husseini falsely was described as
an Arab "moderate"; the newscaster no doubt took his cue from CNN, BBC and
the like.
That was not the end of the story. His body was brought back from Kuwait
where he died of a heart attack while rabble rousing against the Jews. The
most astonishing irony then took place. Husseini, the prominent Jew hater,
was buried on Friday on the most sacred holy place of the Jewish People,
the Temple Mount! By Husseini's burial there, the Arabs will now have an
additional basis for their bizarre claim for exclusive sovereignty over
this historical Jewish Holy Site.
During all this, where were the Rabbinical leaders of the Jewish
Communities of Israel? Virtual silence! There should have been an uproar
to shake Israel out of its spiritual slumber. Yet it never occurred. And
the burning question is WHY? Why such silence in light of the blatant
desecration which affects the sanctity of the most holy Jewish site in the
world? Why allow the burial of a virulent hater of the Jews and disdainer
of their religion, on the most holy religious site of the Jews?
There was an attempt to stop this madness through an application to the
Supreme Court. But as usual, the Supreme Court showed itself inappropriate
to handle serious national and religious questions. Moreover, Chief Justice
Barak's decision evinced the spiritual paucity and lack of traditional
national feelings of the chief justice. First of all, Barak insured a
majority for his three justice Court by choosing the arch secularist
Justice Dorner to sit with him for this ruling, thus insuring his
majority. Then he proceeded to duck the question by saying the application
to the Court was brought too late. He then in an aside added, as if to rid
his conscience of guilt, that the Husseini burial plot was not on the
actual historical Temple Mount itself. In this manner, the present Supreme
Court dealt with its responsibility to protect the character of Israel's
most vital and valuable national treasure.
What little consolation there is can only be found in the famous reference
to Rabbi Akiva in the Gemara of Makkot. There Rabbi Akiva found a reason
for rejoicing in the appearance of jackals on the Temple Mount amidst its
ruins. He saw in such devastation, just as we see in the desecration of the
Husseini burial, proof of the fulfillment of a prophecy of devastation.
Just as Rabbi Akiva saw that the prophecy of ruin was fulfilled, we can be
assured of the ultimate fulfillment of the Prophecy of Zecharia that the
Temple in all its splendor surely will be restored on the Temple Mount
During this difficult period in Jewish history, we sorely miss rabbis of
Rabbi Akiva's vision and courage. Today, unfortunately, we are in desperate
need of, and sorely lack such rabbinic leadership, on all levels, both
locally and nationally!

Mark Twain's Views of the Arab's Violent Nature
(From the noted author's memoirs of his visit through the holy land, in
1867.)
In just a few weeks, Twain grasped then what escapes our leaders today: how
to deal with Arabs and Islam.
"Damascus - the most fanatical Mohamedan purgatory out of Arabia. The
Damascenes are the ugliest, wickedest looking villains we have seen.
These people (the Arabs)- they never learn anything.
A Syrian village is the sorriest sight in the world, and its surroundings
are eminently in keeping with it....next you meet a young boy, without any
clothes on, and he holds out his hand and says "Bucksheesh "!
The Bedouins...would sell their brothers if they had a chance (they
attacked our camp last night and I bear them no good will.)
We rode a little way up a hill and found ourselves at Endor, famous for the
witch. Her descendents are there yet. They have the wildest horde of half
naked savages we have found thus far....a begging, screeching shouting mob
were struggling and blocking the way. "Bucksheesh! Bucksheesh! Howajji,
bucksheesh! The infidel eyes was fierce and full of hate. Dirt,
degradation, and savagery are their speciality. Rags, wretchedness,
poverty and dirt, those signs are the symbols that indicate the presence of
Moslem rule, more than the crescent-flag itself. Lepers, cripples, the
blind and the idiotic, assail you on every hand, and they know but one word
- the eternal "Bucksheesh."
Even the olive and the cactus, those fast friends of worthless soil, had
almost deserted the country. No landscape exists that is more tiresome to
the eye than that which bounds the approaches to Jerusalem....dreary,
mournful,and lifeless."
(Things have not changed as far as the Arab nature. Such savages remain
basically unchanged. They have learned - "to use explosives." Twain's
observations are pertinent and useful to all, even today.)

Fight the Oslo Conference
The following is the translation of a letter we sent to Minister Zippy
Livni, after we found out that she agreed to participate in an
international conference on the Oslo accords, next week at
Ben-Gurion University in the Negev. As you will see from the
program below, Livni is scheduled to debate the murderer, Jibril
Rajoub, and other PA-Fatah criminals. When I called her office they
tried to convince me that it was important for her to attend and
said: "Don't worry, Minister Livni will know how to deal with them
and will know how to answer," not understanding that by sitting
down with them, she gives these criminals legitimacy.
We urge you all to read the following information and then send protest faxes
Minister Tsipi Livni, to the Chaim Herzog Center for
Middle East Studies at Ben-Gurion University, and to the head
of the Likud faction, MK Zeev Boim - who deals with
such complaints.
All their phones and faxes will be provided to you at the end of this
email.

Letter to Minister Tsipi Livni (translated from the Hebrew)
To Minister Tsipi Livni
Shalom,
Topic: Your participation in the international conference on Oslo
We hereby ask you not to participate in the conference on the
Oslo accords, that will take place next week, June 18-19 at the
Chaim Herzog Center of Ben-Gurion University.
Your presence there will give legitimacy to murderers who are
participating in the conference such as Jibril Rajoub, Hani Al-Hassan
(Fatah member), and Maher El-Kurd (PA man).
How can you even think of sitting at the same table with terrorists,
while we are burying our dead who have been murdered by those
same murderers? Would Jews in Europe in the forties, agree to participate
in a conference where Himmler and Goering would justify Hitler's policy?
In addition, the conference will host Oslo criminal-architects, who
also should not legitimized by your presence. Ron Pundak,
Gilad Sher and Dennis Ross are personnally responsible for the
murder of hundreds of Jews. They are the ones who gave the Arabs
guns, ammunition and cities of refuge. Those same guns are used
today to murder us. Instead of being honored and listened to at
conferences, those people should be rotting in jail, guilty of crimes
against the Jewish People. (With Shimon Peres, the main Oslo
architect and others of course...the list is long).
We call upon you to ban the conference and, in addition, to do all
in your power in order to convince the Ben-Gurion University to
cancel this shameful conference on a process that has been
declared dead anyway.

A Grassroots Effort to Help Free Jonathan Pollard
Shalom U'Bracha!
Representatives of the Committee to Bring Jonathan Home met this month with
Rav Moti Elon to discuss the issue of Jonathan Pollard. He heard what we had
to say, and promised to help spearhead the effort to urge the Israeli
government to request Jonathan's overdue release from prison from the Bush
administration.
Rav Elon agreed in principle to be a main speaker in a rally for Jonathan
Pollard which will be held some time in July or August. In addition, it was
decided that we should have activities in a gradual, consistent manner until
the upcoming rally. Other activities will be announced at the rally.
To this end, we'd like to request that you (and your family and friends)
attend a candle and torchlight vigil at Kikar Paris (near the Prime
Minister's official residence) at 10:00 PM for 30-45 minutes this coming
Motza'ei Shabbat, the 16th of June, and every Motza'ei Shabbat thereafter
until the rally. Even one participant is sufficient for a vigil, but a
preferable group would number at least 10-15 people. The main issue is
consistency and commitment.
If the Motza'ei Shabbat vigil is successful (and five families have already
committed to coming), then we will consider expanding the vigil to
weeknights as well.
Are you interested in helping to free Jonathan Pollard?
Are you willing to attend this vigil?
Please contact Selig Tessler at 055-88-22-97 or 02-651-9807 (evening), or
via email at seligt@hotmail.com if you think you will attend.
Thank you for your time.
Please forward this email responsibly to people who you think would
appreciate getting it.

A Zionist Response to Jewish Betrayal
Please note that our home page has a new button "In Memoriam" which
links you to a site featuring "Faces of War Victims."
http://www.walk4israel.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Victims
Photos and names of all those who have been brutally murdered by Arab
terrorists since the beginning of the current war -- may we soon be
granted the opportunity to avenge their blood!
----------------------------------
Dear friends,
Some of you might know that I am a resident of Efrat - a
community south of Jerusalem, 20 minutes by car. I have the
honor of being a "settler" - which means following in the
footsteps of Israel's first settlers in history: Abraham, Isaac and
Jacob - and settling the Land of Israel.
Efrat's municipal boundaries include 8 hills of which 6 have been
settled with families over the past 16 years.
Over the past 2 months, Efrat lost 3 dear members: Baruch Cohen,
HY"D, Sarah Blaustein, HY"D, and Esther Elvan, HY"D, all
murdered by Arabs in drive-by shootings.
In reaction to the murders, the Efrat municipality and Action
Committee decided to give the proper Zionist response:
developing another one of our hills. The message is clear: if you
think that terror will scare us and will drive us away...our reaction
will be completely the opposite: we will develop more hills and bring
more Jewish lives to Israel's heartland. For every Jew murdererd we
will build another Jewish neighborhood in the Land of Israel.
So two weeks ago, 3 caravans were put up on Tamar -- one of the
undeveloped hills within the municaplity of Efrat.
As usual - the Israeli left was outraged by us developing our
hill (they are never outraged when Jews get murdered by
Arabs...they only get upset when Jews develop the Land of Israel),
and so they have united with the Arab enemy and begun
demonstrating against our presence on Tamar.
This past Friday, 8 Gush Shalom (Peace Now) activists came to
our area and united with some 200 Arabs and tried to come up
towards our hill. Luckily the army did not let them pass. They did
not obey the army's orders and tried to climb up anyway.
The army had to use teargas to prevent the violent mob from
getting to our caravans.
In their press release after the demonstration, one of the Peace
Now activists, Neta Golan, wrote a distorted (as usual)
version of the facts, full of hatred and lies against the Jews
of Efrat (claiming for instance that Efrat residents had stolen that land
from Arabs, when we all know that the land had been purchased by the
Keren Kayemet Le'Israel as early as the early 1920s) and
describing how the police had almost broken her wrist.
This is the answer I sent her:
To Neta Golan-
I want to thank you for coming to demonstrate in Efrat this past
Friday. Your demonstrations are always a blessing to the
settlement enterprise. I want to remind you that some 16 years
ago, when Efrat only had a few caravans - Peace Now came and
demonstrated, damaging the caravans etc...and today, Baruch
Hashem, Efrat is a flourishing community.
Then, in 1995, you guys came and demonstrated against the Dagan
hill in Efrat; even succeeding in having the government temporarily
drag us down...and today, bli ayin hara, the Dagan has a lovely
community, with couples, young children and a lot of Torah
learning.
Your demonstration on Friday against Tamar is seen by us as
another blessing and good sign that soon, be'ezrat Hashem, a
large Jewish community will be flourishing on Tamar.
We all pray and hope that you will continue to demonstrate -
and we will continue to develop the Land of Israel, community after
community; hill after hill.
If and when you decide that you have enough of betraying your
Jewish brothers and siding with the Arab enemy, we invite you to
come and plant trees on Tamar. Such activity will not lead to an
almost broken wrist.
Kol Tuv,
Nadia Matar

Women In Green Campaign to Prosecute Shimon Peres
Women In Green continues its campaign calling for the prosecution of the
Oslo criminals, focusing on bringing Shimon Peres to justice. This
Government cannot function as long as Shimon Peres calls the shots.
Instead of being Foreign Minister, Peres should be standing trial for his
Oslo crimes.
Shimon Peres resurrected Arafat, gave the enemy tens of thousands of guns,
built Arafat an army, gave him cities of refuge, and gave legitimacy to
terrorists to murder us.
Our first action will be:
Tomorrow, Tuesday June 26, in front of the Foreign Ministry, Sderot Ben
Zvi, Jerusalem.
Meeting Place: At 9:45 AM sharp, we will meet at the public phone booths at
the entrance to the temporary Central Bus Station - directly across from
the Foreign Ministry. The Demo will take place from 9:45 until 11:00 AM.
Come and bring your cameras for a great photo opportunity: Arafat and
Shimon Peres will be bride and groom united under a keffiyah chuppa held by
four Tanzim terrorists.
Note: Our Stickers: ôåùòé àåñìå ìãéï (Prosecute the Oslo Criminals) can be
ordered by mail. Please send us your name, address and quantity requested
and we will send them to you.

The Oslo Wedding
You are cordially invited to attend the wedding of the murderous bride
Yasser Arafat, to Foreign Minister Shimon Peres (the consenting groom),
which will take place at the Office of the FOREIGN MINISTRY in Jerusalem, at
10 AM, on Tuesday, June 26, 2001.
The bride (Arafat) will be accompanied to the Chupah of Oslo by devoted
members of HAMAS. The bridegroom, a Peace Now advocate, (Why did you give
them guns, Peres?) will, as usual, bind the Jewish People unconditionally to
a Ketubah of submissiveness.
The Chupah will commence promptly on schedule. The reason? To avoid the
possibility that the bride does not, once again, spurn the bridegroom.
This bride and bridegroom are apparently made for each other!
It is a rare photo opportunity, not to be missed.

The High Price of "Restraint"
The morale of the Jewish People worldwide, but particularly here in the Land
of Israel, is being sorely tested these days by the Sharon government's
policy of "restraint." It is an unnatural state of affairs; not to respond
to large scale acts of terrorism by a vicious and relentless enemy whose
declared purpose is to destroy Israel. Sharon's undisclosed and complicated
tactics differ markedly from the natural, and Judaic sanctioned concept to
take revenge. His policies have not been fully understood nor widely
supported. On the contrary, a large segment of the public feels dangerously
frustrated and abandoned.
In fact, there is a continuous uproar from those who, with their families,
face constant threats to their very existence by such Arab attacks. Jews,
by and large, are not satisfied with Sharon's explanation that we are
showing our strength by not responding to acts of violence and terror. What
is more serious, however, are the consequences. Jewish morale has been
reduced to an all time low. In effect, Sharon has adopted the unrealistic
Christian doctrine of turning the other cheek. No nation, Christian or
otherwise, takes such a precept seriously.
Moreover, there is a deception that is being practiced by certain elements
of Sharon's "unity" government, particularly by Shimon Peres. He, as
Foreign Minister, is bent on continuing Oslo, and his previously failed
policy of dealing with the murderer Arafat. Therefore, he continues to
explain away and excuse Arafat's failure to control violence and terror.
Moreover, Peres misleads our people and others by introducing the concept
that we Jews are obligated to improve the poor economic conditions of those
Arabs under Arafat's rule.
Peres implies, in true socialist fashion, although there is a great deal of
proof to the contrary, that an improvement in these Arabs' economic
conditions will lead to an abatement of the existing terror. What is
becoming increasingly clear however, is that a large majority of these Arabs
have already been indoctrinated with hatred against Jews. Arab polls
repeatedly show overwhelming support for Arafat's policies of "suicide
bombers" and other forms of violence against Jewish civilians. Why indeed
should we reward such attitudes? Peres does not attempt to deal with the
fundamental problem: Stopping and preventing the hateful and vitriolic
propaganda against Israel and the Jews both in the Arab media and school
system.
Peres is one of the main architects of Oslo. He, thereunder, gave guns to
the Arabs. He should have anticipated that the Arabs would then kill Jews
with these guns. He therefore deserves to be prosecuted for this crime. That
serious blunder has caused numerous Jewish deaths and maiming. Why, after
having made this costly mistake, is he now made Foreign Minister where he
can cause Israel even greater damage? Rabin found him untrustworthy. In a
so-called unity government under Sharon, he won't take orders, and is
virtually uncontrollable. It is an intolerable situation.

Bulletproof Buses
The following is a translation of a letter I sent to the Hatzofe
newspaper.
June 27, 2001
To the Editor,
Hatzofeh
Don't Give Me a Flak Jacket, Don't Give Me an Armored Bus:
Start to Deal with the Problem!
As a resident of Efrat and as someone who intends to continue
driving in my automobile on all the roads of Judea, Samaria, and Gaza, I
wish to respond to the letter by Dr. Yaakov Yakobson of Petah Tikvah
(Hatzofeh, June 26). In his letter he lists a number of proposals for the
protecting of the inhabitants of Judea, Samaria, and Gaza. I agree with
all that he wrote concerning the Arabs: Arab vehicles must not travel
on our roads. They have enough other roads that will take them to their
destination.
As regards the Jews, however, I wish to strongly differ with what he wrote.
His proposal that Jews travel only in bulletproof busses was already raised
by Members of Knesset and other good Jews; this is a proposal that we must
not accept. This is a solution that will endanger the continued existence
of the settlement enterprise in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza. Who will want to
come to Judea, Samaria, and Gaza if all the inhabitants here will go
around in flak jackets, helmets, and bulletproof busses? I am not, Heaven
forbid, criticizing the inhabitants who decided, privately, to purchase a
flak jacket or to travel in a bulletproof bus. The most important
thing is to continue to travel. But this private solution must not become
the government's solution.
I do not want flak jackets or bulletproof buses as a government
solution for terror. We erred in agreeing at all to stoneproof windows.
We thereby prevented the government and the IDF from fulfilling their
duty: to deal with the stone throwers. And now, if, Heaven forbid, we were to
accept, as a public, the proposal to travel only in bulletproof buses, we
would once again absolve the government of its responsibility to
deal with the root of the problem: the Arabs that shoot at us every day with
the guns that Shimon Peres and the other Oslo criminals gave them.
Even in practical terms, the proposal of traveling only in
bulletproof buses is not realistic: if we were to travel exclusively in
bulletproof buses, then roadside bombs would begin. And then what would
Dr. Yakobson recommend? That every inhabitant of Judea, Samaria, and Gaza
receive a tank? And because it could not provide us with a tank, would the
government recommend, Heaven forbid, to evacuate us "to protect us and our
children"?
The time has come to abandon the ghetto-bulletproofing mentality and to
make a switch in our heads to an offensive mentality. The greater the
extent to which we, as a public, refuse the generous offers that come
to wipe clean the conscience of the members of the government and the
Members of the Knesset, the greater the probability that the IDF will be
compelled to do the only thing that will deal with the root of the
problem: returning the IDF to all the hills and the locations that we gave
over to the enemy, to enter the cities occupied by the Palestinian Authority,
and to confiscate their weapons.
We must learn from the Allied forces in Europe during the World War II.
The British and the Americans understood that peace would not return
to the region by negotiations with Hitler, and not even by a "cease-
fire," but only if Hitler and his entire Nazi infrastructure would be
totally eliminated.
For us as well, quiet can return only after we totally eliminate
Arafat, the evil PLO Authority, and the other terrorist organizations, and
restore complete Jewish rule to the region. We, the inhabitants of Judea,
Samaria, and Gaza, have been given the responsibility to spearhead this
mental transformation. We therefore do not accept the galut solutions of
bulletproofing and servility as a government policy. We demand that the
government begin to deal with the problem!
