     Blair Wants a Palestinian State

PM Tony Blair has attempted to embrace Syria,
a Nazi haven for Holocaust murderers.
He also has embraced the murderer Arafat,
and continues to irresponsibly foster
a Palestinian State. Why doesn't Blair now
meet with Bin Laden?

"No, To a Palestinian State!"

The Cover-Up of the Arafat-Ordered Murder of U.S. Diplomats

The following is a transcript of the Women In Green Hour, Arutz 7, October 31, 2001.

Good evening, dear listeners. This is the Women In Green Hour and I'm your
hostess, Ruth Matar. You can hear our program in English, every Wednesday,
between 9:07 and 10 PM Israeli time.

The Arutz Sheva English program can be heard at 98.7 FM or 1539 AM. Our
live internet broadcast can now be found at www.israelnationalnews.com

Dear Listeners: Three weeks ago, on October 6, 2001, President George W.
Bush made a shocking statement. On behalf of the United States, he
officially endorsed the creation of a Palestinian State. He said, and these
are his exact words: "A Palestinian State has 'always' been part of the
United States vision."

Always? Was a Palestinian State part of the United States vision when
United States Ambassador Cleo Noel, and his assistant, G. Curtis Moore, were
machined-gunned on Arafat's orders in Khartoum, Sudan, in February of 1973?

Was a Palestinian State part of the United States vision when Yasser Arafat
supplied the weapons used by the terrorists who killed two hundred and forty-
one American Marines in Beirut in 1983? A National Security Agency phone tap
recorded a September 24, 1983 call from the Iranian Ambassador to Abu
Haidar. The Ambassador told Abu Haidar to get weapons from Yasser Arafat to
"undertake an extraordinary operation against the US Marines in Beirut."
The attack on the US Marine barracks in Beirut took place shortly thereafter.
Two hundred and forty-one Americans were killed! (This was revealed by
Newsweek
magazine in its November, 1999 issue.)

Was a Palestinian State part of the United States vision when Yasser Arafat
was involved in the planning of the first World Trade Center bombing in New
York in February 1993 where six people died and thousands were injured?
(Moshe Peled, Israel's Deputy Education Minister in the Netanyahu
government, told CIA representatives in early 1997 that Israeli
intelligence had concrete evidence about Yasser Arafat's involvement. The
official Iranian government newspaper, E-Kihan, as well, accused Arafat of
responsibility for the first World Trade Center bombing.)

These are just a few examples of terror perpetrated against the United
States and her citizens, in which Arafat played a major role. Arafat has
often been referred to as the "Father of Modern-day Terrorism." But this
arch terrorist is more than cunning. He is fiendishly clever in covering up
his tracks, and in shifting the blame on to others. Me? NOT ME! Somebody
else did it! But, on one occasion Arafat slipped up, BIG TIME!, and left
unmistakable fingerprints, or rather, voiceprints. Arafat's voice was
recorded on tape at the time when he personally ordered the murder of two
United States diplomats, Ambassador Cleo Noel, and his assistant, G. Curtis
Moore, in 1973 in Khartoum, Sudan. So why has Arafat not been prosecuted?
Because the tape with Arafat's voice has conveniently disappeared!

Thirteen years later, on February 12, 1986, forty-seven senators addressed
a letter on this matter to then Attorney General Edwin Meese. I'm going to
read this letter to you:

When the U.S. Senate -- including Al Gore -- Sought
the Indictment of Yasser Arafat for Murder
(Editor's note: These days, Al Gore refers to Yasser Arafat as America's
"parnter in peace." But it wasn't so long ago that Gore and his colleagues
in the Senate were seeking to have Arafat indicted for murder...)
February 12, 1986

The Honorable Edwin Meese III
Department of Justice
Washington, D.C. 20530

Dear Mr. Attorney General:
We understand that the Department of Justice has received information
linking PLO leader Yasser Arafat to the brutal 1973 slaying of Ambassador
Cleo Noel and Charge d'Affaires C.Curtis Moore in Khartoum, Sudan.
The material is reported to include various State Department cables that
may confirm Arafat's role in the murders. It is also reported to include an
assertion that the U.S. government has a tape recording of an intercepted
message in which Arafat allegedly ordered the assassination of Ambassador
Noel and Charge d'Affaires Moore, who were taken hostage when Palestinian
terrorists seized the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Khartoum on March 2, 1973.
As you know, press reports indicate that the eight terrorists involved in
the incident identified themselves as members of Black September. They
demanded the release from prison of Sirhan Sirhan, the Baader-Meinhof gang,
and a group of Fatah members being held In Jordan. Press reports indicate
that when their demands were not met, the terrorists selected the three
Westerners among the hostages -- U.S. Ambassador Cleo Noel, Charge d'Affaires
C.Curtis Moore, and Belgian diplomat Guy Eid -- and machine-gunned them after
first allowing them to write farewell notes to their families and then
beating
them. A day later, the terrorists surrendered to Sudanese authorities after a
lengthy round of transoceanic communications involving, among others, Arafat
and the Vice President of Sudan.
Press reports indicate that Sudanese President Gaafar Mohammed Nimeiri went
public at once with evidence showing that the operation had been run out of
the Khartoum office of Fatah. One month after the slayings, the Washington
Post reported that according to Western intelligence sources, Arafat was in
the Black September radio command center in Beirut when the message to
execute three Western diplomats was sent out. The Post also reported that
Arafat's voice was monitored and recorded. Although according to the Post's
sources, it was unclear if Arafat himself or his deputy gave the order to
carry out the executions, Arafat reportedly was present in the Operations
center when the message was sent and personally congratulated the
guerrillas after the execution.
These allegations, if substantiated, leave little doubt that a warrant for
Arafat's arrest should be issued, and a criminal indictment filed against
him. To allow other factors to enter into this decision is to make a
mockery of our laws and our stated commitment to eradicate terrorism. As
President
Reagan told an American Bar Association convention this July, "we will seek
to indict, apprehend, and prosecute" terrorists. We understand that this
matter is
presently under review at the Justice Department. We urge the Justice
Department to
assign the highest priority to completing this review, and to issue an
indictment
of Yasser Arafat if the evidence so warrants. We would also ask that you
keep us
advised of the progress of your investigation.

Sincerely,

(Signed by 47 U.S. Senators, including
Albert Gore, Democrat of Tennesseee.)

(End of letter of the forty-seven senators to Attorney General Edward
Meece.)
But these forty-seven senators were never told the truth, and yes, a
mockery was made of our laws and our stated commitment to eradicate terrorism.
President Ronald Reagen told an American Bar Association at that time: "We
will seek to indict, apprehend and prosecute terrorists." Sounds familiar,
doesn't it?

Dear Listeners: James J. Welsh was supposed to be our guest tonight.
Unfortunately, something happened on the way to tonight's radio program.

After long trans-atlantic phone conversations with James Welsh, who lives
in the United States, and after Mr. Welsh had emailed me much background
material, including his letters to members of Congress -- I received yet
another email from Mr. Welsh. This email arrived shortly before this
program was to go on the air!

This is what it said:

Dear Ms. Matar,
This is to inform you that for personal reasons I have
decided not to involve myself in the Arafat-Khartoum subject
anymore. For over a year it has taken a substantial amount
of my time and energy. I apologize for the short notice. I
realize that you scheduled this, but I have decided that I
must let this part of my life go away. Again, I apologize for
the problem this will cause.
                                   Sincerely,
                                           James J. Welsh

I was stunned! We had had such a friendly phone relationship. Mr. Welsh, in
fact, joked with me that since CNN and Sixty Minutes were not excited about
his story, he was pleased that a radio station in Jerusalem was interested.

Nothing is as good as hearing Mr. Welsh in his own voice, telling us about
these important events. But we will have to make due with selections from
the background material which Mr. Welsh sent to me; the 1986 letter from
forty-seven senators to Attorney General Edwin Meese which I just read to
you; and a letter from Mr. Welsh to a member of Congress, dated October 25,
2000.

It is quite a long letter, but I ask you to pay very close attention. This
letter is DYNAMITE!

Subject: Statement of James J.Welsh

Dear Member of Congress,
My name is James J. Welsh. Twenty-seven years ago I was a Signals
Intelligence analyst for the National Security Agency. I was, along with
another individual, responsible for the analysis of Palestinian Liberation
Organization (PLO) communications. On approximately 27 March 1973, a NSA
field station informed us that it had intercepted a conversation between
Yasser Arafat and Salah Khalaf, the leaders of Fatah, in Beirut and Khalil
al-Wazir in Khartoum discussing preparations for an imminent operation in
Khartoum. This information was immediately passed through the chain of
command at NSA and ultimately was brought to the attention of the Director,
NSA (DIRNSA). A decision was made to send this message at Flash (highest)
precedence to the US Embassy Khartoum via State Department, as channels
required. Within three hours this was done and we all felt relieved that at
least our embassy personnel in Khartoum would be safe. How wrong we were.

On the morning of March 1, 1973 I was called at home by NSA to turn on
the Television and come in to work. As I saw the news my heart sank. The US
Ambassador and the Deputy Chief of Mission were being held hostage at the
Saudi Arabian Embassy by members of the Black September Organization, a
Palestinian terrorist group whose credits included the Munich Olympic Games
Massacre. How could this be? We sent them the warning. They would never
have gone to that reception under these conditions. There was much
confusion at
the time and I and other analysts began to try to make sense of the chaotic
happenings we were following. Finally the terrible news was revealed - the
Ambassador and Chief of Mission were dead. We eventually went home.

On Monday morning the subject in our area was obviously nothing but
this topic. (Note that all knew of this tragedy but only a few knew of the
warning message). Myself and my co-worker began inquiries into how this had
happened. We were told that DIRNSA was at that moment on the way to State
Department with a copy of the warning with the intention of discovering why
it had apparently not been heeded. At State Department, he was shocked to
find out that, on the evening of its transmittal to State Department a
Watch Officer, in what is now called the Investigations and Review Section,
had
downgraded this urgent warning message to a routine cable. It arrived two
days after the murders.

Within the G7 group where we worked there was a great deal of
outrage. I was particularly outraged as I had spent four years following these
individuals and, at the moment of our greatest intelligence coup against
them, a uninformed GS level had pooh-poohed our work and cost the lives of
two US diplomats. I demanded to confront this person (a rather naive desire
I must admit) and find out why she had done this. After some effort by my
supervisor, a Navy Officer, I was told that the choice was mine: Shut up or
lose my clearance and get ready for Fleet Oiler duty within 48 hours. I
gave in.

Over the next week, we awaited the arrival of the field intercept
tapes and transcriptions. At least we would be able to gain valuable
insight into this terrible affair and maybe even someday help punish those
responsible. We waited. Finally I remember asking when would the tapes
arrive? I was puzzled by the answer: Oh, they've been looked at and there
isn't much there. !!!!!????? Wait a minute. Then, how could the field guys
have given us all this detailed information that we based the warning
message on and which in fact occurred two days later? Something was not
right. In addition, our folders with all our materials of the hostage
crisis were never returned to us from the higher levels to which they had gone
during the crisis. We in effect had nothing now of this affair.

The cover-up had started. And it would last 27 years. I should have
gone to Congress 27 years ago and I do so belatedly now. I was a supporter
of the Nixon Administration and to this day do believe that Mr. Nixon's
foreign policy skills were far superior to any other potential political
rival at that time. However, we must all face the fact that he and his
advisers were fearful of scandal. And this would have been a major one if
it were to see the light of day. One could only imagine the headline in the
Washington Post: State Dept Fails to Warn Embassy, Ambassador, Assistant
Dead!. No, that could not happen.

I now make the following charges:

1.That the existence of the Warning message was covered up in order to
prevent embarrassment to the State Department and the White House.

2. That all evidence that the warning message was based upon was collected
at NSA and removed from the normal analytical departments were it would
normally have been analyzed.

3. That all existing copies of cable sent belatedly to US Embassy Khartoum
were collected and destroyed at US Embassy Khartoum per instructions at
high level of Department of State or the White House. There would be no
embarrassment due to discovery of the delayed warning.

4. That for thirteen years no prosecution or political penalty could be
extracted of Yasser Arafat and his subordinates due to the need to keep
this warning hidden from any scrutiny. Any public acknowledgement of the
existence of the tapes made before, during and after the murders would have
inevitably led back to the delayed warning message. That when, in 1985 and
1986, Congress requested then Attorney General Meese to investigate the
matter of Yasser Arafat's direct complicity in these murders, the cover-up
was continued to protect those who had initiated it thirteen years before.

5. That subsequent administrations have, in fact, been appraised of the
authenticity of Arafat's voice on the tapes and have chosen, for political
reasons, to turn a blind eye to the direct guilt of Yasser Arafat in the
cold blooded murders of Cleo Noel and George Moore.

6. That not only did more than one United States intercept site copy
conversations between the terrorists in Khartoum and the Fatah office in
Beirut but that at least two foreign intelligence agencies did in fact copy
said communications and turn them over to the United States government at
the time of the affair.

After twenty-seven years I can come to no other conclusion for the
lack of interest by the government of the United States in holding Yasser
Arafat at least politically liable, if not legally, than that there was a
cover-up due to the delayed, bungled delivery of the warning message.

In over two months of talking to actual principals in the affair, to
those who have written the definitive books on the incident, to those in
Congress who took testimony on this tragic event, not one, not one solitary
person has acknowledged any knowledge of a warning message.

But we have a source. Those who participated with me in the writing
of this message still live. You will be able to finally find the truth if you
will subpoena them to come before your committee. I will give you their
names in secret.

Next I believe I know the name of the State Department Watch Officer
who downgraded the message. I will supply that name to you also.

Members of Congress, it is now up to you. I have given you what I
believe are the keys to unlock the puzzle of why Yasser Arafat walks the
halls of the White House with impunity in spite of everyone's belief in his
personal guilt. Follow this trail and you will find the true answer.

Respectfully,
James J.Welsh

Dear Friends: I want to also read you part of a letter written by James J.
Welsh to Victoria Toensing, a Justice Department Attorney:

"What has disturbed me most are the repeated comments from State and
Justice Departments that the evidence of Arafat's involvement was
inconclusive
and inadmissible as evidence. Those types of statements are the reason for my
writing you this letter. Those statements were not true. I know it is not
unusual that intelligence agencies fail to tell the truth to other bodies
outside the intelligence community. But those types of protectionist
policies do not always have the impact that disinformation has now had on
the world scene.

If in 1986, Arafat's taped voice (three days worth) had been released to
the American public, I do not think that the current mess that Israel is
now in
would have happened. Arafat would have been a persona non grata as far as
the United States was concerned. Acts do have consequences, and
unfortunately the decision to withhold from the Committee the truth of
these tapes may be one of the reasons that Arafat was able to re-invent
himself.
I tried to make contact with you several months ago. I don't expect that you
will reply to this letter, but I felt it necessary to inform you that if
you were acting in good faith in conveying to the committee the Justice
Department position, you had been used by those in much higher positions to
mislead a Senate committee. The tapes were made, National Security Agency
possessed them, and there never was any doubt when I was there, that it was
Arafat's voice directing the operation from initial intercept on February
28 (the day before!) to its end on March 2.

So now you know. It was a long time ago, but this man did order the deaths
of two US diplomats. We taped his words. I guess there is nothing that can
be done now, but I often wonder why Yasser Arafat's image and continued
presence on the world scene is more important than simple justice for two
dedicated diplomats who were murdered twenty-eight years ago. It just makes
you wonder." James J. Welsh

The State Department, and the National Security Agency, and the CIA, and
Colin Powell continue to protect their dirty little secret. Yes,
unfortunately, foul-ups do happen, and it is natural for human beings to try
to protect themselves.

However, the great immorality comes in when Colin Powell and the State
Department, knowingly consort with this murderer, and push President George
W. Bush, a believing Christian, into advocating a Palestinian State on
Bible Land, knowing that this will become an Islamic state of terrorists. Has
President George W. Bush been told the truth about Arafat's past and
present killing of Americans?

THE IMMORALITY of hiding Arafat's murder of our diplomats, Cleo Noel and
Curtis Moore, to further the State Department's and Colin Powell's
political agenda is beyond description.

When you make pacts with the devil, there will always come a day of
reckoning.
* Yasser Arafat was not punished for killing Ambassador Cleo Noel and G.
Curtis Moore in 1973.
* Yasser Arafat was not punished for his part in the murder of 241 American
Marines in Beirut in 1983.
* Yasser was not punished when he helped plan the first World Trade Center
bombing in New York in 1993.
* He has never been punished for his part in the murder of Americans killed
on his orders, while living or traveling abroad.

Yasser Arafat must feel utter contempt for the United States. He knows that
we know that he has murdered many Americans. And because the State
Department thinks there are advantages in not rocking the boat with the
Islamic world, the United States has turned a blind eye toward the wanton
murder of her own citizens. The message which is conveyed is very clear:
"Terror Pays." And now, Arafat's ultimate "reward" is the promise of a
Palestinian State on Bible land.

Why, dear listeners, did James Welsh change his mind at the very last
minute about being a guest on the Women in Green Radio Program? Especially,
since
he had been quite enthusiastic to have a platform to express his concerns?
I will let you draw your own conclusions!

It certainly appears to be part of the same pressures that prevailed in
covering up the Welsh revelations all along. There are powerful forces out
there that do not want Arafat to be punished, legally or politically, for
giving the order to execute Ambassador Cleo Noel and G. Curtis Moore in
Khartoum in 1973, and all his other numerous lethal attacks on Americans
throughout the years.

We are left with this central question: Why does the State Department and
Colin Powell continue to dance with the arch murderer Arafat? Why does the
United States not bring Arafat to justice? As President George W. Bush
recently said so eloquently: "The goal of the war on terrorism is to bring
our enemies to justice, or justice to our enemies."

By rewarding Arafat and not bringing him to justice we are encouraging
terrorists all over the world like Osama bin Laden to commit further and
greater acts of terror.

What can we do? Share this story of State Department perfidy with your
family, your friends, your local media, and your members of Congress.
Demand that Arafat be brought to justice for the crimes committed against
Americans. This will be a small but important step in eradicating worldwide
terrorism.

Most importantly, take part in the Rally and March in Washington D.C. on

You Can't Make "Peace" With Evil!

It is difficult to comprehend how the United States and Britain can wage a
war against terror which does not include Yassir Arafat as a target. Whether
against fellow Arabs, Jews or anyone else, Arafat uses terror to obtain his
goals. Arafat epitomizes the word terror, and he has had a very long, varied
and unbroken record in that regard. Over the years, he has been a ruthless
murderer of children in Maalot, Israeli athletes in Munich, U.S. Diplomats
in Sudan, U.S Marines in Beirut and other gory incidents. He has glorified
and made martyrs of those who prepare bombs to massacre civilians. He was
the first one to initiate the hijacking of planes as a terrorist tool. He
also was the first to use suicide bombers, and set the example for the
catastrophe of September 11. Moreover, he extols these suicide bombers as
true martyrs for their acts in taking the lives of innocent men, women or
children.

How then can the United States, which has refused to talk to bin Laden, or
even to those who harbor him, seriously propose that Israel sit and
negotiate with Arafat? How can U.S. President Bush speak of a Palestinian
State when he knows that Arafat will be at its head? How can Prime Minister
Tony Blair meet with this murderer, and endorse such a State as well,
knowing that
Arafat would be its leader?

U.S. President Bush purportedly refuses to meet with Arafat while the latter
does not reign in Arab terror. Yet President Bush has entirely different
standards when it comes to Israel, and its leaders, insisting that they meet
and iron out their differences with the murderer Arafat in a peaceful
manner. Moreover, the U.S. implication is that Israel is equally to be
blamed for the violence which Arafat has instituted. That is the tune which
Britain's Tony Blair plays as well, and it is totally disheartening and
unacceptable.

Ironically, President Bush invokes the moral concepts which Israel's
Prophets gave to the world. He tells us that there is such a thing as evil,
and that bin Laden personifies such an evil person. Yet he fails to see
Arafat in the same light. Is he blinded by U.S. State Department strategy
that tells him that in order to get Arab Muslim cooperation, it is necessary
not to single out Arafat as being bin Laden's double? Does he not see that
bin Laden, Arafat, and Arafat's idol Sadaam Hussein are all
indistinguishable? Does he not realize what history has taught us over and
over again, that you can not rely on, or have anything to do with a
terrorist murderer? The lesson that Neville Chamberlain learned to his
bitter dismay not very long ago is the same lesson which is applicable today
for U.S. President George W. Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair of Britain!
You can't make "peace" with an evil man!

Jerusalem, November 7, 2001

               No, to a Palestinian State

(Excerpt from Ruth Matar's program of November 7)

Dear Listeners: Last Sunday night I attended the funeral of Shoshana
Ben-Yishai, a sixteen year old girl who was killed by a Palestinian gunman.
The terrorist opened up fire on a bus waiting for the light to turn green at
a Jerusalem intersection. He also killed a fourteen year old boy, Menashe
Regev, and wounded many others, two of these critically. Most of the
passengers on the bus were children who were returning home from school.
Hamas and Islamic Jihad both proudly took "credit" for the attack.

"My G-d," I kept thinking as I was surrounded by the classmates of Shoshana,
weeping and clinging to each other. "This girl is exactly the age of my
granddaughter. It could have been her!"

Yasser Arafat, the Palestinian Authority Chairman, has made no effort
whatsoever to arrest or disarm members of terrorist groups, nor has he in
any other way tried to impede almost daily attacks on Israeli citizens--even
though he has pledged to do so in no fewer than five signed agreements with
Israel. After eight years of talks, Arafat has failed to end his support for
terror.

In spite of all this, Secretary of State Colin Powell, and the State
Department, enthusiastically endorse the establishment of a Palestinian
State on Israel's heartland, Judea and Samaria.

I saw two news items in the press recently, which literally gave me chills.
Why did they upset me so? Because these news items reveal the depths of the
enmity that successive Secretaries of State, and the State Department, bear
to the Jewish State of Israel. The following is a paragraph from an article
in the November 6 issue of the International Herald Tribune, which quotes
Bill Clinton's Secretary of State, Madelaine Albright.
Listen to this! I am quoting verbatim.

"This is hard to say and I haven't found a way to say it that doesn't sound
crass. But it is the truth that those attacks before September 11th were
happening overseas, and while there were Americans who died, there were not
thousands, and it did not happen on US soil."

You can bet your bottom dollar, Madelaine, that there is no way for you to
say that this doesn't sound crass.

After all, Shoshana Ben-Yishai was only the 22nd American murdered by
Arafat's terrorists in Israel. Also, as Madelaine Albright would say, it did
not happen on US soil!

But, even more shocking is a statement by the current US Secretary of State,
Colin Powell.

Secretary of State Colin Powell said last week that some groups, sometimes
described as terrorist--and he clearly refers to the Palestinian
Arabs--might be seeking to redress grievances, gain rights, or achieve
freedom from oppressors.

Powell told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that Bin Laden's
al-Quaeda organization is a clear case of a terrorist group, as "probably"
are the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia and the Real Irish Republican
Army in Northern Ireland. "But then you start to run into areas where one
man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter, and that's where you have
to apply judgement."

Shoshanna Ben-Yishai's murder perfectly illustrates the hypocrisy and
immorality of Colin Powell's statement.

You see, Shoshana Ben-Yishai was in New York on September 11, visiting her
sick grandfather. Of course, her parents were very worried about her. She
returned to her family safely, only to be killed by a Palestinian terrorist
in Jerusalem only seven weeks later.

Do you see the irony here? According to US Secretary of State, Colin Powell,
if she had been killed by Arabs on September 11 in New York, she would have
been killed by terrorists.

But when she was killed on November 4 in Jerusalem, she was, according to
Mr. Powell's reasoning, killed by Palestinian freedom fighters.

That is why we must not follow the opinions or dictates of others in the
matter of permitting the establishment of a Palestinian State on our Holy
soil.

We must say loud and clear--without worrying about whom we might offend--NO,
to a Palestinian State! It is a matter of life or death for us, and we
choose life!

                                  Betrayal

On Thursday, a Foreign Minister of Israel delivered before the United Nations
an expression of his lack of faith in the Promises of the God of Israel.
These Promises were repeatedly made to the forefathers of the Jewish People.
Shimon Peres, purportedly speaking in behalf of the Jewish Government of
Arik Sharon, endorsed the anti-Biblical vision that U.S. President Bush
expressed last week before the United Nations. Bush endorsed a policy which
the U.S. State Department has long advocated, the creation of another Arab
State within the historic Land of Israel.

Peres, as usual, did not convey to the United Nations that the creation of
such a State is opposed by the majority of the Jewish People, not only in
Israel but throughtout the world. Just as he undemocratically forced the
Oslo Agreements upon Israel, he was now improperly speaking for the Jewish
People. They have not elected him in the past and have repeatedly rejected
him and his views at the polls.

During the past year, the Jewish People have had to endure the hatred,
terror and violence of Arafat's intifada, which was sanctioned by a large
majority of the Arab populace of this area. A distinctive Jewish majority,
including many who are non-religious, have reached the conclusion that it
would be extremely unwise to create another Arab enemy State within its
midst. Given the vicious existing propaganda of the Palestinian Authority and
the widespread hatred of Jews and Israel taught for generations in its
schools, the creation of a Palestinian State would represent a mortal danger
to the continued existence of Israel. Moreover, the repeated failure to
abide by the numerous written commitments which the Palestinian Authority
entered into under the Oslo Accords, accentuates the futility of relying on
its word.

Former Israel Prime Minister David Ben Gurion held a firm view throughout his
lifetime, that no Jew, nor any Government of Israel, can agree to give up
one inch of the Land of Israel. He expressed this view in Basle in 1937 and
never wavered from it. "No Jew alive today has the authority to yield any
piece of land whatsoever. This right is preserved by the Jewish People
throughout the generations and cannot be forfeited under any circumstance.
Even if at some given time there will be those who declare that they are
relinquishing this right, they have neither the power nor the jurisdiction
to negate it for future generations to come. The Jewish Nation is neither
obligated by nor responsible for any waiver such as this. Our right to this
Land in its entirety is steadfast, inalienable and eternal. And until the
coming of the Great Redemption, we shall never yield this historic right."

What Shimon Peres and others have done is misrepresent the Will of the
Jewish People. They will not succeed in defying God's Will, and the words
of our historic Bible. His is an act of betrayal, that must be thoroughly
condemned and rejected!

Let Pollard Go - Jerusalem Post Editorial

November 21, 2001

It was 16 years ago today that
Jonathan Pollard, an American Jew working as a
US Navy intelligence analyst, went to jail for the
crime of passing classified information to Israel.
Though Pollard's crime was serious and briefly cast
a shadow over US-Israel relations, justice demands
that he now be set free.

Without minimizing the gravity of Pollard's actions,
the fact is that allies occasionally spy on each other,
whether for political, military, or industrial gain. But
while in other instances, those caught engaging in such
"friendly espionage" are briefly detained, Pollard was
sentenced to life in prison without parole, a term
            unprecedented in severity.

Indeed, the sentence violated the plea bargain
agreed to by the US Justice Department and
Pollard's attorney. Pollard was never indicted for
harming the United States and was never charged
with treason. The one count against him - that of
passing classified information to an ally, without
intent to harm the US - has never resulted in a life
sentence for any other person. And while the
median sentence for this offense is generally two to
four years, even agents who have committed far
more grievous offenses on behalf of hostile
countries did not receive the same treatment
            accorded to Pollard.

In recent years, the Pollard issue has brought
together a unique constellation of figures calling for
clemency. Legal luminaries, such as Alan Dershowitz and
Irwin Cotler, have been outspoken in their support for
releasing Pollard, and the issue has cut across
ideological and political boundaries here. Last year, in
an unusual joint letter, Binyamin Netanyahu and Ehud Barak
wrote: "Concerning Mr. Pollard, the people of Israel and
virtually all its political parties stand as one."

Though upon Pollard's arrest, Israel initially sought to
distance itself from the affair, claiming that it was
conducted as a "rogue operation," the past decade has seen
a dramatic shift in that position. In November 1995,
Israel granted Pollard citizenship, while in May 1998, the
Netanyahu government issued a statement recognizing
Pollard as an Israeli agent and accepting full
responsibility for him. All prime ministers from Yitzhak
Rabin onward have appealed to successive American
administrations to grant clemency, but none of these
efforts have borne fruit. The closest Pollard came to
being released was a promise made by Bill Clinton to
Netanyahu at the Wye summit in the fall of 1998 that in
exchange for signing the deal, Netanyahu would be able to
take Pollard back home in freedom. Unfortunately, at the
            last minute, Clinton reneged.

To mark the anniversary of Pollard's incarceration,
the Knesset will hold a special session this morning
at which speakers from across the political
spectrum - including the Likud, Labor, Meretz,
Shas, National Religious Party, Yisrael Ba'aliya,
and the National Union - will all voice support for his
release. In addition, former Sephardic chief rabbi
Mordechai Eliahu will address a gathering in Jerusalem
            this evening on the subject.

There is no denying that Pollard violated the trust of his
employer, the US government and took the law into his own
hands by providing Israel with intelligence information he
deemed crucial to its national security. Indeed, Pollard
himself wrote of his "deep remorse" in a letter to Clinton
last year. But there is also no denying that serving 16
years in prison, including seven years in solitary
confinement, is more than enough to atone for his debt to
            society.

At a time when the US is engaged in a war on
terror, the lines between friend and foe have never
been clearer or more unambiguous. As a close ally
of America, Israel has been asked by the Bush
administration to make certain sacrifices on behalf
of the greater good. It is only fitting, then, that
America respond in kind and make a gesture of
goodwill to the Israeli people, all of whom wish to
see Jonathan Pollard free in Jerusalem. Pollard did
the crime, and he has done his time. It is now time
for America to let him go.

Are the Jews Indeed Stupid and Silent?

The illusory solution for the problems of the Middle East,
according to Colin Powell, is a Palestinian State and for the
Jews to freeze settlements. The panacea for Dennis Ross is the same, but
that the Arabs stop lying and stick to truth. The Peres formula is
appeasement. For Sharon it is the sort of security that still results
in the daily maiming and killings by Arabs of Jews with the guns Peres
gave to them under Oslo.

Come voice objections to these simplistic and unrealistic approaches !

Letter From a Friend in Australia

Dear Friends,

I heard Ruth on Israel National Radio today Thursday AM (Australian time)
and as a lover of Israel and the Jewish people I was wondering if I could
have a petition form also.(No Palestinian State) I regularly listen to
Israel National Radio and find myself in tears over the horrific injustices
levelled against your people. There are hundreds of non-Jews like me who
keep ourselves informed of the true story (as regards Israel) and lobby our
politicians on Israel's behalf. At the risk of being considered
presumptious I went as far as writing to Mr Sharon (I received a reply)
imploring him to obey the biblical mandate to guard the promised land. I
reminded him that any sane person knows that this is one of Israel's
mandates.(I begged him not to give one inch away). As I see it according
to the Holy Torah you have no option BUT to be custodians of Eretz Israel
until Messiah comes. The truth of the matter is if you give away the land
that was given as an "evelasting" possession (to Abraham) you may please
Arafat and his cohorts but you will certainly stir up the Almighty's wrath
against yourselves!!! Who is to be pleased - Ha Shem or the Arabs and their
"friends"? Seems a bit sad when non-Jews are pleading for the settlers
rights and for the prime minister to do his job accordingly. When I thought
that 200,000 brave Zionists would be expected to give up their homeland,
hospitals schools and synogogues etc. I found myself weeping for them. I
pray that the world, and Mr. Bush in particular, will see clearly that the
enemies of Israel and the brave Jewish people, don't want co-existance but
they envisage non-existance or the total demise of the chosen people.

Please be encouraged, dear friends, 100s of 1000s of non-Jewish friends
like me pray daily for you. We, lovers of truth, know that the covenant
with Abraham was and, as the very description implies, still IS an
evelasting one. Don't be bullied into giving in to the unreasonable demands
of those who havn't a clue about the responsibilities of divine covenants.
As I said to Mr Sharon, you have right on your side. You have won all the
wars since '48 and you will be victorious even if all the nations oppose
you as long as you yourselves don't oppose the One who chose you to be a
light to the Gentiles, the keepers of the faith, the guardians of Holy
Torah, the landlords of His special land where He has placed His name -
ISRAEL. We have such a passionate love of Israel (which must be divinely
inspired) that we implore you, don't waver in your efforts to hold on to
what legally is yours and yours alone.

Yours for the love of Israel,

Gloria Power (Australia)

Anyone who still talks about freezing settlements,
and illegal "occupation" of our Jewish Homeland,
is either ignorant of the Bible or hostile to this

Powell's recent disgraceful Middle East speech in Louisville;
it was a mere rehash of the U.S. State Dept.'s failed policies.
