What does G-D Say about "Jewish Settlers"?

Ruth Matar, Women in Green Radio Program
Arutz Sheva, October 23, 2002

Our topic tonight is a very important one. In fact, I venture to say that
the whole future of the Judeo-Christian civilization ultimately rides on the
answer we give to the question posed:

WHAT DOES THE G-D OF THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT "JEWISH SETTLERS"?

There is no dearth of opinions with regard to "Jewish settlers" and "Jewish
settlements" in the Holy Land.

We hear that even "moderate" Arab rulers, like Mubarak of Egypt and King
Hussein of Jordan, think that there can be no peace until all Jewish
settlements are removed from "occupied" Arab land.

We keep getting not so subtle hints from Saudi Arabia, the very country who
sent the United States fifteen of the nineteen suicide bombers who
perpetrated the September 11 terrorist attack. 25% of the world's oil
supply is in their hands, and they made it clear to the United States that
they will not continue to supply us unless we dance to their music. For a
starter, the Jewish settlements have to be demolished, and all Jewish
settlers have to be evacuated from Palestinian land. (The term Palestinian
land, of course, is part of the Big Lie. Judea, Samaria and Gaza were never
part of any political entity other than the Jewish State.)

Also, powerful financial interests like Mobil Oil, the Gulf Oil Corporation,
Shell, British Petroleum, Texaco Oil, etc., are vying with each other to
support the Arab viewpoint.

And of course, Iran and Iraq openly proclaim their goal to annihilate the
Jewish State of Israel.

Even President George W. Bush, who is viewed as one of Israel's greatest
friends, has
crossed a dangerous red line by declaring his support for a Palestinian
state. There is a very powerful and frightening lineup of forces against
Israel. What do all these very powerful people have in common? They all
proclaim
that Jewish settlements in the Holy Land are an obstacle to peace.

Don't we have any powerful friends whatsoever? Let's open our Tenach
(Bible) to BaMidbar (Numbers), chapter 33:50-53, and 55. These scriptures
make it very clear that we do have a powerful friend. The G-d of the Bible is
on Israel's side.

"HASHEM spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab, by the Jordan, at Jericho.
Saying: Speak to the children of Israel and say to them: when you cross the
Jordan to the land of Canaan you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the
land before you; and you shall destroy all their prostration stones; and all
their molten images shall you destroy and all their high places shall you
demolish. You shall possess the land and you shall settle it. For to you
have I given the land to possess it.

But, if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land before you, those
of them who you leave shall be pins in your eyes and thorns in your sides,
and they will harass you upon the land in which you dwell."

No doubt about G-d's intentions here. Bible believing Jews and Christians
know that the word of HASHEM is eternal and that G-d does not change His mind.

Jews will soon celebrate the holiday of Hanukkah which commemorates the
victory of the Maccabees, not only against the Greeks, but also their
victory against the Jewish enemy, the Jewish Hellenists in their midst. The
Jewish Hellenists were disloyal to their fellow Jews, and sought a pragmatic
accommodation with the powers of that time, because they had completely
abandoned their religious beliefs. How history repeats itself! We have a very
dangerous situation in Israel today, where the Oslo-ites, Foreign Minister
Shimon Peres and Defense Minister Ben Eliezer, are willing to betray their
fellow Jews. They are today's Hellenists. The Bible believing Jews, who are
trying to resettle the Land, are the modern Maccabees.

Last week, the modern Hellenists scored a great "victory". Defense Minister
Ben Eliezer sent 1,700 soldiers, on the Jewish Sabbath, to evict a handful
of Jewish settlers from their legally owned land, the Gilad Farm. Moshe Zar
had bought this land several years ago and he has the legal papers to prove
his ownership. When his son Gilad was murdered by Arab terrorists, Moshe Zar
decided to build a Jewish farm on his legally owned land. He named the farm
Havat Gilad in memory of his son.

Why is Ben Eliezer so anxious to evacuate Jews from their land? A public
opinion poll conducted by the Voice of Israel shows that over 70% of Israeli
citizens believe that Ben Eliezer's desire to uproot outposts is based, not
on security considerations, but on bolstering his political standing within the
Labor Party before the upcoming primaries.

Seventeen hundred soldiers to evacuate a handful of settlers and their
supporters who came to stand with them? Regarding the legal issues, IDF
Chief of Staff Lt.-General Moshe Ya'alon said recently: "The overwhelming
majority of the existing outposts have been approved by the government
echelons." The important question is, if Mr. Ben Eliezer is really concerned
about the rule of law, why doesn't he start with the massive illegal Arab
construction in Yesha, in Jerusalem, and inside the green line?

Last Monday, there was a brutal terror attack on bus 841 in the Galilee.
Fourteen people were burned to death and sixty-five were seriously injured.
The bus was a blazing inferno as people tried to jump out of the windows.
The victims could only be identified by their DNA. Now comes the shocking
and scandalous aftermath. As reported in yesterday's Jerusalem Post, Ben
Eliezer and his associates tried to blame the Gilad Farm settlers for the
bus attack. I am quoting from this article:

"The settlers at the Gilad Farm illegal outpost are in part to blame for the
terrorist attack because they 'wasted the IDF's time,' officials close to
Defense Minister Binyamin Ben Eliezer charged Monday.

'If the soldiers are not busy removing outposts, they can be used to defend
the country,' one official said."

For shame! I think this is the height of evil! I think this is proof
positive that Ben Eliezer is a true Hellenist, who does not have the
interests of his Jewish brethren at heart. First, he shows the Arabs that
the Israeli government rewards Arab terror by removing Jewish settlers from
their land. Then, he blames the Jewish victims for his own irresponsible,
incompetent and self-serving behavior, while serving as Israel's Minister of
Defense.

What Ben Eliezer thought was in his own political interest was to see Jewish
settlers and Jewish soldiers fight each other. As the television footage
showed, there were some soldiers who Ben Eliezer was able to enlist to act
in a very brutal manner. But Chief of Staff Lt.-General Ya'alon said that
this operation was traumatic for many of his soldiers. I have a sad feeling
of deja vu about this affair. I remember very clearly how Nadia Matar, myself,
and other Women in Green, together with the people of Efrat, were brutally
dragged down from the hill of Dagan in 1995 under orders from the Rabin-Peres
government.

The hill of Dagan legally belonged to the Municipality of Efrat, but Yitzhak
Rabin did not want to upset his so-called peace partners by letting the
Efrat people build on their own land! Yes, there were some sadistic soldiers
in that evacuation too. But I will never forget the young women soldiers who
were ordered to pull us down from the Dagan hill, with tears streaming down
their faces and begging us for forgiveness.

Today, seven years later, Jews have built their homes on the hill of Dagan.
Also from this hill, you can now hear the voices of Jewish children at play. We
hope and pray that in a few years Jewish families will be able to settle
Gilad Farm and call it their home.

We are fortunate to have as our guest tonight Daniella Weiss, the Mayor of
Kedumim, and Rabbi Benny Elon, Knesset Member of the Moledet Party.

(A recording of this entire program, including the interviews, is available
on http://www.israelnationalnews.com - Click on "On Demand Audio" on the
blue bar.)

The very same people who call out with great fervor for the demolition of
every Jewish home in the West Bank are silent about illegal Arab
construction that threatens Jewish lives.

When the Rabin government in 1994 wanted to expel the Jews from Hebron,
Rabin's Minister of Education, Shulamit Aloni, said the following: "The
settlers in Hebron should not have been allowed into the city in the first
place. Their settlement is born in sin. I have long advocated their
expulsion. By being there, they are turning the political dispute into a
religious war and that is a scandal. Let us not forget that the god of the
Muslims has many, many more troops than the G-d of the Jews." This is the
same Shulamit Aloni, who as Education Minister under Yitzhak Rabin forbade
the teaching of the Book of Joshua, since she considered it a book of
conquest, therefore not helpful in the pursuit of peace.

Shulamit Aloni drew a sharp rebuke from then Likud Knesset Member Ariel
Sharon, who noted that "if the Zionist founding fathers had counted the
Moslem god's troops, there would never have been a Jewish State. The only
reason we are here is because of ties to our ancient homeland and historical
sites like Hebron. Those who ask what we do in Hebron may well ask what we
do in Jaffa or why we are not in Uganda."

The answer of Ariel Sharon was a good answer as far as it went. However,
what Ariel Sharon failed to understand, Senator Inhofe of Oklahoma recently
stated so clearly: "Because G-d said so!"

Has Sharon in effect joined the Hellenists? How many more victims are
necessary before this Hellenist government realizes that transfer works both
ways? Ben Eliezer could not persist in his dastardly behavior of transferring
Jews without Sharon's silent approval. However, a government which transfers
its own citizens from their homes, might itself be transferred from the
heights
of power into the dust bins of history!

To the battalion of righteous Jewish and Christian believers stationed in
the United States: it is important that you convince President George W.
Bush, who is a believing Christian, that establishing a Palestinian state
in the Holy Land is directly against the Word of G-d. As Knesset Member
Rabbi Benny Elon allegedly stated: "I believe that the United States
Christians are the only ones that can stop the danger of a Palestinian
state." Use your People Power before its too late.

Ariel Sharon and the "Road Map"

The following is an English translation of excerpts from Nadia Matar’s
Hebrew radio-program on Arutz 7 on Thursday, October 31, 2002.

Dear Friends,

The break-up of the unity government by Labor, raises an important question
for the national camp. Should the parties forming the “National Camp” join
with Prime Minister Sharon in forming a new narrower government, or should
they instead insist that new elections be held?

Anyone familiar with the political savvy of Ariel Sharon understands that
his actions are directed towards the upcoming primaries in the Likud.
Sharon could not have survived in his race with Netanyahu for leadership of
the Likud had he given into the latest demands of Labor’s Fuad Ben Eliezer.
Yet there are many in the national camp who believe that “Sharon is a hero
because he did not give into Fuad’s demands with regard to the budget on the
settlements.” Such people call upon the parties making up the national camp
to join with the government led by Sharon because “ Now Sharon has proven
that he really belongs to the national camp he is the champion of the
settlements.”

We wish to suggest that Leiberman and the other members of the National Front
should by all means enter into coalition negotiations with Sharon, but that
they should insist that the following reasonable minimum conditions be met
in order for them to join a Sharon led government.

1. It should be made clear that we are not here talking about what we all
intensely desire, that is the cancellation of the Oslo Accords, the expulsion
and elimination of the entire Palestinian Authority, and the imposition
of Jewish sovereignty over all of Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza District.
Rather we are talking about three reasonable but minimal conditions that are
a pre-requisite for the national camp joining with Sharon, which are as
follows:

a. The new government opposes the establishment of a Palestinian State in
the historic heartland of the Land of Israel. The condition is an extremely
reasonable one since a majority of the Likud Central Committee opposes the
establishment of a Palestinian State.

b. This condition was part of the fundamental platform of the Netanyahu
Government and of the Rabin Government as well. The Labor Party’s official
platform included the opposition to the creation of a Palestinian State.
Only under Ehud Barak did Labor take away that clause.

c. Sharon himself wrote dozens of articles against the establishment of such
a State (see, for example, the two hour interview with Ariel Sharon published
in the Wall Street Journal on February 10, 1989 in which Sharon expressly
states: "There are some things that must be stressed. One is that Jerusalem
will be united. Second that there will not be a second Palestinian State west
of the River Jordan. Third that (under) any arrangement that will take place,
Israel will be responsible for security in Judea, Samaria and Gaza- will
be responsible and have its forces in Samaria, Judea and Gaza...". "Unless the
Jews and their friends around the world unite, the situation might lead to
the creation of a Palestinian State very soon, and that will bring a war,
not peace. It will bring a war."

2. Security responsibility will be solely in the hands of the
Israel Defense Forces, and will not be transferred to any foreign body.

The Jewish People has learned that as long as the IDF remains in the cities
of Judea, Samaria and Gaza, there are hardly any terror attacks; as soon as
the IDF leaves terror returns to Netanya, Hadera, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem,
etc., and on a large scale. Therefore, the IDF must return to, and retain
its control of Bethlehem and Hebron, and other key cities in Judea, Samaria
and Gaza that are currently under Arab occupation. This too is a logical
and reasonable condition which a majority of the Jewish People favor knowing
that it will save many Jewish lives.

3. An end to the settlement freeze.

This is not a demand to establish new settlements. (Which by the way we
favor!) It is merely the reasonable, moral and moderate condition that the
freeze be lifted, and the natural growth and development of the present
settlements be permitted.

If Ariel Sharon will agree to include these three conditions into the
platform of a new government, then the National Camp should join him.

If, on the other hand, Sharon refuses to agree to them, then the National
Camp should urge new elections, and ensure that Sharon will leave the
political arena for good.

The refusal by Sharon of these basic conditions would confirm the fact that
Sharon has sold his soul to U.S. President Bush, and to the Israeli Left, at
the expense of the People of Israel, the Land of Israel, and the Torah of
Israel.

Sharon’s refusal to accept these basic conditions would indicate that Sharon
is prepared to go along with, and eventually implement, the devilish U.S.
“Road Map”. The entire purpose of this “Road Map” is to establish a
Palestinian State, a move that would endanger the very existence of the
State of Israel.

Is the Recent Beltway Terror in the U.S.
Any Different Than the Daily Terror in Israel?

Ruth Matar, Women in Green Radio Program
Arutz Sheva, November 6, 2002

We are going to discuss two interesting related topics:

Is the Recent Beltway Terror in the U.S.
Any Different Than the Daily Terror in Israel?

And

Why is the American Media reluctant to recognize that
the Beltway Snipers may be Islamic terrorists?

These two topics seem to evoke a lot of interest. I have received several
emails even before our broadcast. I shall read you just one of these emails:

"The sniper must be crazy, but the suicide bombers are educated to hate and
commit the same attacks over and over again. The sniper is just an isolated
crazy loony."
Signed: Manuel Gwiazda, a Jew from Argentina and proud of being Jewish.

That is exactly where it's at. Is the Beltway Sniper just an "isolated crazy
loony", or is the Beltway Terror in the United States the same as we have
experienced daily here in Israel? Also, why does the American Media refuse
to realize that the Beltway Snipers may be something much more dangerous
than "isolated crazy loonies"?

To discuss these important topics, we have two interesting guests tonight:
Joseph Farah, the Chief Executive Officer of WorldNetDaily. We have had Mr.
Farah as a guest on our program before. It is always a pleasure to listen to
him. He always tells it like it is.

Our second guest is Jack Engelhard, a well-known author and former radio and
newspaper editor, covering the Mid-East; he was also a former American
volunteer in the Israeli Defense Forces. Mr. Engelhard is a new discovery of
mine, but more about that later.

(A recording of this entire program, including the interviews, is available
on http://www.israelnationalnews.com - Click on "On Demand Audio" on the blue bar.)

I think that both Joseph Farah and Jack Engelhard make it perfectly clear
that they feel that the recent Beltway Terror in the United States is no
different than the daily terror in Israel. And that the American Media, in
their desire to be at all times politically correct, are reluctant to
recognize that the Beltway Snipers may well be the first wave of the post
9/11 invaders. Terrorists abound, not only in Israel, but they are turning
up within the United States borders, which until recently were believed to
be safe and secure.

The main sniper suspect, John Allen Muhammed, is an African-American who
converted to Islam about seventeen years ago. The troubling coincidence of
conversion to Islam and hatred of the United States needs to be looked at
very closely. To what extent does Islam attract the disaffected, and to what
extent does it actively turn them against their own country?

Unfortunately, this may just be the beginning of more terror attacks within
the United States. But the government and the media still keep talking about
Islam as a "peaceful religion" even though there is so much evidence to the
contrary. Of course, there are peace-loving Muslims, but they are not the
ones with the guns and the explosives who believe that all non-Muslims are
infidels, and must be killed.

The unpleasant reality that there may be more and more terrorist attacks
within their own borders is something Americans must confront if they want
to win the war on terror.

The Overwhelming Majority of the Jewish People are Against a Palestinain State

Ruth Matar, Women in Green Radio Program
Arutz Sheva, November 13, 2002

Some fifty plus years after the Holocaust and the rebirth of the Jewish
State, the nations of the world have conceived of a plan to achieve the
Final Solution to the Jewish Problem. This plan is euphemistically called
the "road map toward peace", and is the brainchild of the so-called Quartet.
The Quartet, of course, is the European Union, the United Nations, Russia
and the United States--or rather the US State Department--all not such good
friends of Israel, or in fact, not friends of Israel at all.

The "road map to peace" is a road map deeper into the hell of Oslo, a road
map to the "peace of the grave" for the Jews and the Jewish State. According
to this road map, there will be a provisional Palestinian State, which is on
land within Judea and Samaria, by the year 2003, and a full state by the
year 2005. In addition, according to this road map, all Jewish "outposts"--a
purposefully deprecating term for small Jewish communities--will be
dismantled, and all construction in existing larger Jewish communities in
Judea and Samaria will be frozen. Jewish communities, which interfere with
territorial contiguity of this planned Palestinian State will be uprooted
and all its Jewish inhabitants will be transferred.

In a public opinion survey commissioned by Independent Media Review and
conducted by the Smith Research organization in June of this year, the
respondents were asked:

Do you support the proposal that Israel withdraw to the pre-Six Day War
lines-including from all of the Golan, Jordan Rift Valley and the Old City
of Jerusalem, and agree to the establishment of a Palestinian State in
return for peace with the Palestinians and the Arab states?

Total: FOR 22% AGAINST 73% NO REPLY 5%

Jews: FOR 16% AGAINST 80% NO REPLY 4%

Do you support the proposal that Israel withdraw to the pre-Six Day War
lines including from all of the Golan, Jordan Rift Valley and the Old City
of Jerusalem, and allow Palestinian refugees the right of return to Israel
instead of receiving monetary compensation-in return for peace with the
Palestinians and the Arab states?

Total: FOR 9% AGAINST 87% NO REPLY 4%

Jews: FOR 4% AGAINST 93% NO REPLY 3%

Since the overwhelming majority of the Jewish People are against a
Palestinian State, how come we are not screaming our objections from the
rooftops? This is a question which was asked by Aram Paquin in his email
dated November 8. Quite a few other listeners have asked this very same
question. I'm going to read you Aram Paquin's letter:

"I do have one question that has been echoing in my mind for months. You
said, towards the end of your last program, words to the effect that a
majority of Israelis support Israel as a Jewish State, and that those you
feared to call 'traitors' are really a minority. I hope you are correct. But
if you are, why is this majority, which clearly has the facts on its side,
so quiet, so passive?

I must tell you that as a Christian Zionist, I remain in a constant state of
frustration when I hear an endless succession of mealy-mouthed equivocators
and even openly pro-Palestinian liars. Any defense of Israel is spoken in a
muted, apologetic tone. I want, no, I long to hear strong, loud Jewish and
Christian voices speaking out. Not in supplication and not in appeasement,
but in declaring the truth without apology. Surely, if I can display my love
of Israel with a very visible pin on my hat, an Israeli flag next to the
red, white and blue on my automobile, and running my mouth off at the drop
of a hat, it shouldn't be asking too much that the average patriotic Israeli
and American Jewish Zionist demonstrate the courage of their convictions by
speaking out against those who would support a return to the Galut.

I would plead that Israelis will not cease crying out for Jerusalem. I
certainly won't!"

Sincerely,

Aram Paquin

Dear Aram, we are not so silent, and not so passive. I think that our two
guests on tonight's program will explain some of the reasons why you are not
hearing the voice of the majority of the Jewish People.

Our guests are David Weinberg, director of Public Affairs at Bar-Ilan
University's Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, and Yisrael Medad,
Member of the Board of Israel's Media Watch.

(A recording of this entire program, including the interviews, is available
on http://www.israelnationalnews.com Click on "On Demand Audio" on the blue bar.)

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, in an interview with the London Times,
published on November 5 of this year, stated that he offers general support
for the principles of the Quartet's "road map toward peace". The Israeli
government's excuse for this position is that there is tremendous pressure
from the United States. I sincerely believe that, at the end of the day,
President Bush would respect Israel, if there was a democratic decision not
to allow a Palestinian State on her land.

What right does Ariel Sharon have to agree to the establishment of a
Palestinian State on Jewish land? How about if President George W. Bush
would decide to support the creation of a foreign state for Mexicans in
parts of Texas? Wouldn't he have to get the permission of Congress for that?
Ariel Sharon has never brought the question of a Palestinian state for a
vote by the Knesset (the Israeli Parliament). In fact, his own Likud Party,
at its recent convention, voted overwhelmingly against such a Palestinian
State. And he certainly seems not one bit concerned about the opinion of the
majority of Israelis.

Not only Sharon's own party, the Likud, is very much against a Palestinian
State. Women for Israel's Tomorrow (Women in Green) have collected over
300,000 signatures on a petition to Prime Minister Sharon against a
Palestinian State. This is an ongoing campaign of ours all across Israel,
and we fax hundreds of signatures to Mr. Sharon's office every day. To date,
we have not gotten a single reply from Mr. Sharon.

The Israeli media explained the Likud convention vote against a Palestinian
State as mere rivalry between Netanyahu and Sharon. As far as the Women in
Green campaign is concerned, the media purposely ignores any mention thereof
whatsoever. The only place where you might see any mention of our campaign
is an advertisement paid for by us under our weekly cartoon in the Jerusalem
Post. Over three hundred thousand signatures with addresses and phone
numbers is no small matter in a country like Israel with a population of
less than six million! Wouldn't such a campaign merit at least a small
mention by the Israeli media?

I will give you an example of media manipulation. On the anniversary of
Gandhi's death, with his whole family present, the Women in Green had a
tree-planting ceremony on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, and we erected a
memorial stone in his memory. We notified the media, but nobody came. That
evening, Israel's TV Station Channel One spoke movingly about a
tree-planting ceremony by a Jewish-Arab friendship group. Upon being asked
why they didn't also come to our ceremony, they first said they hadn't been
notified. Finally, they admitted that they had been notified, and in
addition, that the Jewish-Arab friendship tree-planting ceremony never even
took place.

So, dear friends, we are not so silent or so passive. But powerful political
forces continually prevent us from being heard.

During the Second World War, the Warsaw Jews were herded into the Ghetto,
stripped of everything, starved, beaten, murdered and carted off to death
camps. There is only eleven miles between some parts of the Palestinian
State proposed by the Quartet and the Mediterranean Sea. The World is trying
once again to herd the Jewish People into another Ghetto. History repeats
itself. May G-d give us the courage to fight back before being crowded into
a tiny and indefensible Ghetto!

Next week I will be in the United States. On Sunday, November 17 through
Monday, November 18, I will be at the "Shop Israel/ Chicago" event to be
held at North Shore Congregation Israel in Glencoe, Illinois. On Sunday, the
24th of November, I will be in Houston, Texas at a similar fair at the Bnei
Yeshurun Synagogue. The purpose of these America-Israel fairs is to help the
Israeli economy which is in bad straits because of the Arab Intifada. If you
are in the vicinity, come by our booth "Ruth Matar of Yemin Moshe" and say
hello. I guess some of you don't even know that I am a designer of jewelry
and Judaica, when I'm not wearing a green hat and shouting from the
rooftops.

Sharon and a Palestinian State: Is He Creating a monster?

Ruth Matar, Women in Green Radio Program
Arutz Sheva, November 27, 2002

Last night I returned to Israel after a ten-day stay in the United States.
I had gone to the States to attend America-Israel fairs in Chicago,
Illinois and Houston, Texas. These fairs are organized all over the
United States by friends of Israel to give a boost to the Israeli economy,
since very few tourists come here because of the Palestinian suicide
bombers. On this occasion, therefore, I went to the States, not just as
Ruth Matar, Co-leader of Women in Green, but also as Ruth Matar,
Jewelry and Judaica Designer and Craftsman. To all the organizers
and friends who I met at these fairs: You are wonderful, and your
standing with Israel gives us renewed courage in these very difficult
times.

I returned to a country in political and economic turmoil. Many of the
people who have been some of Sharon's staunch supporters feel
they are about to be outmaneuvered and betrayed by their erstwhile
hero. Sharon has always been admired for his surprise military
tactics to get the best of his enemies. For example, in the Yom
Kippur War of 1973, when things looked very bleak for Israel,
Sharon, in a surprise move, encircled the Egyptian army and would
have been able to march on to Cairo if not for American intervention.
Since Sharon was elected with a landslide majority in February of
the year 2000, he has used such surprise tactics on the very people
who brought him to power.

Over the span of his public career Ariel Sharon has taken very firm
positions on issues concerning Israel as the Jewish homeland,
Jerusalem, the Temple Mount and the Oslo Accords. The man whom
we admired and believed in, the man who expressed our deepest
feelings, the man whom we trusted with Israel's future, our national
security and defense has shocked us to the core. He has done--as
it is said in the military--"about face!" contradicting the positions
which he took prior to his winning the election as Prime Minister.
I'm going to quote from some articles which were published in the
Jerusalem Post and written by Ariel Sharon under his own byline
prior to his election.

September 3, 1993, YOU CAN'T DANCE WITH A MURDERER
"By recognizing this murderer's organization, the PLO, the
government has committed an act of madness. By reviving Israel's
greatest enemy on the eve of its disintegration and turning it into
Israel's shield against Hamas, the government has added crime
to folly….There can be no reconciliation, historic or otherwise, with
the man who ordered the murders of school children in Avivim,
Maalot and Antwerp, and of eleven Jewish athletes in Munich…"

August 3, 1994, SICKNESS IN JERUSALEM
"For the first time, a Jewish government has formerly recognized
Jordan's standing vis-a-vis holy Islamic sites in Jerusalem. All this
without a referendum, without elections, a Knesset or cabinet decision.
It is as though it was a private matter. No, they would probably have
taken more care over a private matter. Jordan isn't the only country
with standing on the Temple Mount. The King of Morocco is angling for
influence, and the Monarch of Saudi Arabia is lusting for a share. And
what about Yasser Arafat? A vigorous argument is raging over who
has more right. Yet, the only element not cited by the government of I
srael is the Jewish People. Some clarification is in order: only one people--
the Jewish People--exercises sovereignty over Jerusalem in all its parts--
especially our Holy sites, and primarily the Temple Mount. We cannot
accept any foreign sovereignty over Jerusalem. Full rights of religious
worship, yes; sovereign status--never."

August 14, 1994, A LACK OF SELF-RESPECT
"Jerusalem is our capital only because of the Temple Mount. It is
because of the Temple Mount that we say on Seder night, 'Next year
in rebuilt Jerusalem.' It is because of the Temple Mount that we have
settled in the Land of Israel and not in Argentina or Uganda; it is 'the
land of Zion and Jerusalem', as our national anthem has it.

When Jews pray, wherever they may be in the world, they face the
Temple Mount. When Moslems pray, even if they are on the Temple
Mount, they face Mecca.

Whoever is willing to relinquish full control over the Temple Mount
is actually ready, now emotionally, tomorrow in practice, to forfeit
everything.

Before 1967 we didn't possess the Temple Mount, but we never
stopped, even for one second, striving to return to it. I used to say
to my late son Gur when he was a child and we would ascend Mount
Zion to view the Temple Mount. The Temple Mount is ours but it is
not yet in our hands.

That is why the most important result of the Six Day War was not the
winning of the Sinai or the Golan, but our return to our holy place, the
Temple Mount."

November 2, 1994, THINGS THAT ARE SACRED
"I didn't vote for the peace agreement with Jordan, even though I
really wanted to. I am in favor of peace agreements with all the Arab
countries, particularly Jordan. Jordan is the existing Palestinian
state and there mustn't be another. One thing is totally unacceptable:
granting the Kingdom of Jordan a formal role vis-a-vis the Temple Mount,
Judaism's holiest site in a political agreement. No nation in the world
would have done such a thing. No sane government would have dared
contemplate such a step. Only those who hold nothing sacred could
behave this way. And if nothing is sacred, we shall not go on existing
here. Our generation has no right and what, after all is the span of a
single generation--to deprive future generations of the Jewish People's
holiest site? Conceding rule over the Temple Mount is the beginning
of conceding rule over Jerusalem."

It is hard to believe that the man who wrote these stirring words is
the man who after his election formed a unity government with the
architect of Oslo, Shimon Peres.

It is hard to believe that this is the same man who now professes
that if elected he will once again form a unity government with the
Labor Party. The Labor Party has just elected as its standard-bearer
the ultra-leftist Amram Mitzna, who is offering the Palestinians not
only negotiations under fire, but Israeli withdrawal under fire.

Mitzna explicitly promised that his first move as Prime Minister,
should he ever reach this post, would be to evacuate all the Gazan
settlements. He also promised to immediately resume negotiations
with Yasser Arafat--disregarding Arafat's failure to honor every
previous agreement with Israel and without even demanding that
the Palestinians stop the violence in the interim--and to evacuate
most West Bank settlements within a year of taking office, with
or without an agreement.

In other words, what Israel had previously offered in exchange
for an end to the conflict Labor is now offering free of charge--
with not even a temporary halt to the violence required in exchange.
It is hard to imagine a more ringing endorsement of terror's efficacy.
In fact, the Palestinian Authority continues to heap praise on Labor
Party Chairman Amram Mitzna and called on Israelis to vote for him
in the January 2003 election if they want peace and security--the first
time that Palestinian Authority officials have openly endorsed a
candidate.

What has happened to Ariel Sharon? The man who called the
Palestinian entity a terrorist entity now supports the creation
of a Palestinian state. Is his motive to attract votes from the left?
Or is his motive to remain in the good graces of George W.
Bush and the US State Department?

To discuss this important question, we have with us tonight Yossi
Ben-Aharon, former Director-General of the Primer Minister's office.

But first, my Co-leader Nadia Matar will discuss how the Government
and the Media refuse to acknowledge the will of the majority.

Even if Mr. Sharon, in his heart, is totally opposed to the establishment
of a Palestinian state and does not believe it will materialize, his words
are raising expectations in every capital in the world, and carry the
risk of becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The Palestinian terror war is a key link in the worldwide chain of
Islamic terrorism. There is no distinction between Saddam Hussein's
use of poison gas against the Kurds and Shiites, Osama bin Laden's
incineration of 3,000 Americans in New York and Washington, and
the murder of over 700 Israelis by Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Yasser
Arafat's own Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade since Sharon became Prime
Minister. They are one and the same menace.

President George W. Bush and the State Department continue to
pressure Israel to establish a Palestinian state. In fact, the United
States is planning to submit the final draft of the Road Map Plan
to the Quartet on December 20. The Americans are pushing the
Plan so that a Palestinian state be established as soon as possible.
One of the plan's first demands is a total freeze on Jewish
construction in Yesha, Judea, Samaria and Gaza though Arabs
will be permitted to continue building freely.

I firmly believe what Knesset Member Rabbi Benny Elon is
alleged to have said at the Christian Solidarity Rally on May
11 in Washington D.C. "I believe that the United States Christians
are the only ones who can stop the danger of a Palestinian state."
I would like to add, however, that I think that Jews are just as
important in this endeavor to convince President George W. Bush
to stop pressuring Israel. Establishing a Palestinian state in the
Holy Land is directly against what is written in the Tenach (the Bible).

The following is a copy of an email sent by Judy Stone of Grapevine,
Texas to President Bush and other government officials.

Dear Mr. President:

If the blowing up of Bus #20 in a west Jerusalem neighborhood
during rush hour this morning does not BLOW UP the ROAD MAP
to a Palestinian state, what will it take? I am a Christian who has
often ridden Bus #20 when I have visited Jerusalem. I am vividly
picturing the absolute horror in my own mind. Can you not see it?

At least 11 have died, INNOCENT, UNARMED young people and adults.
How many arms, legs, heads, guts strewn over the street and hanging
from the trees and buildings will it take? How much human blood? Yes,
it IS human blood, not the blood of monkeys and pigs, as the Muslim
religion teaches its adherents in the Middle East and even in its
Islamic schools IN THE UNITED STATES!

How much HORROR are the Israelis expected to absorb?

Michael Freund just wrote an article in the Jerusalem Post enumerating
15,298 terror attacks in Israel since the "new intifada began over 2
years ago. Now the number is 15,299. How many more?

No more pressure on Israel to facilitate the establishment of a Palestinian
state! PLEASE! It is absolutely insane!

Signed: Judy Stone

It is tremendously important that you email or fax President Bush to
stop pressuring Israel with the Road Map to a Palestinian state.
Unfortunately, the establishment of a Palestinian state "means the end of
the State of Israel".

Fax President George W. Bush at 1-202-456-2461, or email him at
president@whitehouse.gov

Your letter may be the one which will convince President Bush
that his constituency is passionate about the survival of the Jewish
State of Israel!
