Jerusalem, October 6, 1998

            Shame On You Madelaine Albright!

It does not take any great strategic acumen to
know that the best tactical time to obtain an objective
deleterious to the interests of a nation, is to attack
when the people of a nation is otherwise diverted.

That was the reason Egypt and the other
Arab countries attacked Israel on Yom Kippur in 1973, on
the Jews' holiest day of the year. But this sort of
strategy is not confined to the enemies of Israel alone.
The same strategy was used by Shimon Peres and Yitzhak
Rabin in pushing through Oslo by presenting the matter
for consideration during the High Holiday period, when
the Jewish People were immersed in their High Holidays,
the Knesset was in recess, and public discussion,
accordingly, was at a minimum.

And now the same tactic is being employed
by none other than Madelaine Albright, who is
desecrating the joyous Jewish Holiday of Succoth in order
to push through a questionable "Agreement" with Arafat.
At a time when most Jews are vacationing with their
families, and the chances of open and serious discussion
is at an absolute minimum, Ms. Albright is busy
pressuring our Prime Minister to divest Israel from
further large portions of its small Promised Land. She
is re-instituting the shuttle process of going back and
forth between Arafat and Netanyahu during this Jewish
Holiday period, attempting to speed up a diversionary,
worthless, and what certainly will prove to be a short-
lived, "peace" solution that will help President Clinton's
fight for survival as U.S. President.

What is contemptuous is the utter disregard
on the part of the present U.S. Administration, acting
through Albright and Ross, who are Jews, to do what is
necessary to obtain an Agreement quickly. To decide to
conduct these negotiations in the midst of the Feast of
the Tabernacles (Succoth), is not only sacrilegious, but
demonstrates a complete disregard of the religious values
and practices of the Jewish People. There is nothing
that requires a rush to conclude this further withdrawal
by Israel, especially when Arafat's compliance with Oslo,
heretofore, has been zero. Oslo has taught us that only
after a thorough and open public discussion of the terms
of any proposed Agreement, can an intelligent and democratic
decision be made; for such a vital decision, and the
consequences which flow from it, affects the lives, future
and the very survival of the Jewish People.

Jerusalem, October 9, 1998

                  All Night Vigil

The Jewish People have had a long and
embittered history; it includes a dispersion throughout
the world over the past two thousand years. This history
includes a recent Holocaust during that dispersion, where
six million of the Jewish People were slaughtered. Yet,
they have miraculously, and uniquely survived. Recently,
they have begun a return to Israel, their Biblical
homeland; because of their historical ties to their
ancient country, they are in the process of restoring a
virtual wasteland to a land of "milk and honey."

Their effforts, and very survival are now being
placed in jeopardy. Well meaning, and not so well
meaning individuals, are misleading our leaders that they
must make a further "deal" with the murderer Arafat, and
forego still another part of their ancient homeland, for
the sake of living in "peace." Towards this end, our
Prime Minister has been lured to Washington to finalize a
pact with Arafat, by enticing promises, and, no doubt,
dire threats.

In the last analysis, however, we shall be
pretty much left on our own when Arafat and his fellow
Arabs predictably renege on any writing that might be
arrived at. Our sages long ago pointed out that it is
impossible to make peace with a murderer, particularly
one who has no remorse whatsoever over his past murderous
actions, and who openly declares that his objective is
to destroy Israel. Moreover, in our Psalms the ancient
warning that we can not put our trust in Princes is
emphasized again and again. That caveat is all the more
relevant when the Prince's personal motives for a quick
deal now are not in Israel's interest.

Accordingly, Women In Green, will implore our
Prime Minister prior to his trip to Washington, not to
place the very existence of the Jewish People in
jeopardy by any additional re-deployment. Giving away
further land to Arafat, not only creates new havens of
refuge for Arab murderers of Jews, but predictably
jeopardizes the very existence of many of the legitimate
communities of Jews throughout Judea and Samaria and the
Gaza strip.

We shall therefore raise a hue and cry outside
the Prime Minister's residence in Jerusalem, on Balfour
Street, beginning at 19:00 on Tuesday, October 13, 1998,
in an all night vigil of mothers, fathers, and their
children. Our message will be that the Prime Minister
must carry out the mandate on the basis of which he was
elected. He was not elected to forego reciprocity. And
he was not elected to put his trust in Prince Clinton,
who will not be around when Arafat or his successor
reneges on Oslo, and/or declares a Palestinian State.

More details about the vigil:

Parents/grandparents and children/grandchildren from around
the country will gather in front of the PM's residence,
Balfour street, Jerusalem,
with sleeping bags, warm clothes, flashlights and food.

We will be spending the night in front
of Netanyahu's home with the message:
"How can you sleep tonight when tomorrow you are going
to negotiate an agreement that will endanger the lives
of the children of Israel?"

The children will participate in activities:
1) handprints in paint will be put on a large banner with the
message:
"shake our children's hands
instead of shaking Arafat's bloody hands"
2) building houses of clay and handing them over to Bibi:
"Don't endanger our homes"
3) coloring with crayons pictures of Erets Israel
4)Oslo ballons will be sent to the sky
"Oslo is a balloon of hot air-
bury Oslo before it buries Israel"

Thus Spoke The Children Of Israel

On Tuesday night, over 400 participants, mostly young
children and their mothers from around the country,
participated in an all night "Vigil" near the Prime
Minister's residence in Jerusalem. It was on the eve of
his departure to the States to make still another "deal"
with Arafat. Not all of these children stayed on
throughout the night, but their message did. This
message was in fact a prayer that the Prime Minister be
mindful at all times that he holds the future well being
of the Children of Israel in his hands.

There were other messages delivered. He was
asked: "How can you sleep at night, knowing that you
are soon to negotiate with the same unrepentant murderer
of Maalot's Jewish children? How can we accept a
preacher of violence, hatred and enmity as a peace partner?
The children dipped their hands in finger-paint and made
their tiny hand prints on a large banner, pleading with
their Prime Minister to shake their hands, instead of
shaking the bloody hands of the murderer Arafat.

The children also built houses out of clay. The
plea to their "Bibi" was that he does not endanger their
homes by providing the Arabs with further segments of
our dwindling Biblical homeland. Giving up further Land
will enable the Arabs to more easily come into a home,
murder, and then flee to Arafat-controlled territory,
where they will escape their deserved punishment. To
continue to negotiate with Arafat under such
circumstances, is to render meaningless the teachings to
our children of the concept of reward and punishment,
the foundation on which Jewish morals and ethics rest.
Some of the children had their parents blow up "Oslo
Balloons" and released them skyward. These balloons
represented the fragile hot air of Oslo, which bursts so
easily. Appropriate signs pleaded with the Prime
Minister that he: "Bury Oslo - Before It Buries the
Jewish People and all of Israel."

The media, except for some brief radio
comments, virtually ignored this "vigil". Of course,
there was the report of the usual daily Arab murder of a
Jew, this time by a shooting, with no mention that the
murder weapon was a gun probably supplied through the
Peres-Beilin Oslo Accords. Sure enough, the murderers,
escaped punishment by fleeing to Arafat-controlled
territory. It is in this ludicrous context that the
trip of Netanyahu to part with further portions of
Israel's holy land, is being undertaken. Further Jewish
land is being relinquished as a reward for unabated
Arab hostility. When the Prime Minister came out of
his house this morning, he ominously ignored everyone,
including the children. He seemed to have no desire to
acknowledge those who had spent the night outside his
home. Whereas the vigil was not held to criticize him,
his reaction to it was inexplicably cool. It is hoped,
however, that the Lord will be kinder, and respond more
positively, to our children's pleas.

Jerusalem, October 18, 1998

                 Why Wye Makes Me Cry!

The high pressured gathering at Wye near Washington
D.C. engineered by President Clinton will result, like
the Hebron Agreement, in dire consequences for Israel.
Whatever motives, pure or otherwise, Clinton may have
for having a "quickie" Agreement come out of this
conclave, given the unchangeable nature of Arafat and
the PLO, there is no way that any writing between Arafat
and Israel will actually lead to Arab peace within
Israel and Jerusalem.

Proof of this dire situation is found in the
continuous stream of deaths of Jews killed by Arabs,
which now occur almost on a daily basis. The count of
Jews killed by Arabs is now over 290 since Oslo, and
not even one of the many known Arab murderers living
openly in Arab communities, has been turned over to
Israel. Sadly, the Jewish Community, because the
murders have become so commonplace, are no longer
outraged when they are reported in the media.
Seemingly there are not even the former attempts to get
Arafat or his cohorts to denounce the murders in
English. (Arafat, significantly, has always refused to
denounce in Arabic the murders or the murderers.) To
top off this ludicrous situation, this morning's news
report from the Wye "summit", quotes Arafat on CNN
saying that such murders "are not preventable by him"
and are not part of his Oslo obligations. Can Wye be
expected to seriously change the attitude of such a
"peace partner."

Continuation of the Oslo process will only
increase and expand such murders! The new areas to be
given over to Arafat at Wye, will provide excellent
opportunities for Arab murders of "Jewish
settlers." In their vitriolic propaganda, Arafat and
the PLO have openly declared war on Jews living in
Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria and the Gaza strip.
The new Arab "safe havens" provided by the additional
handing over of Jewish land for "peace", will provide
further opportunities for Arab killers to
indiscriminately murder neighboring Jews, and easily
escape punishment for their actions.

President Clinton and Secretary Albright have
their heads in the oil sands, when they speak in
generalities about both sides having to make hard
concessions, if peace is to be achieved. The realities
are that it is Israel that has made tremendous
sacrifices and all of the concessions to date.
Pathetically, the U.S. is not prepared publicly to put
real pressure on Arafat and the PLO. To speak as if
both sides are equally at fault, is not only unfair but
irresponsible. It sends a clear message to the world
community that Arafat's clear violations of the Oslo
Accords should be ignored. Such an approach by the U.S.
foredooms Wye. Even though another "acccord" may be
signed by the parties at Wye, it will prove worthless,
as did Oslo, to get Arafat and the PLO to truly seek
peace.

Oslo is a fraud on the Jewish People. Under the
guise that Oslo was capable of bringing them the peace
they so desired, many Jews, as in the Nazi days of
yesterday, were ready to believe that they were not
being railroaded to a catastrophe. Today, there is a
sizable number of Jews and others who believe the
deceptions of Arafat. Unfortunately, Wye won't change
Arafat or his goal to destroy Israel. Nor will any
U.S Middle East policy succeed if it is does not take
into account what the Bible says, and adhere as well to
its eternal moral principles.

                    Actively Fighting the Agreement

The following is the text of today's program by Nadia Matar, the
chairperson of Women for Israel's Tomorrow (Women in Green), on Arutz
7. Nadia speaks, in Hebrew, every Sunday after the 12:00 noon newscast,
and in English, every Sunday at 10:00 PM on 98.7 FM. Both audio segments
can be heard via the internet on www.a7.org/live.htm

Shalom to all our listeners!
This is Nadia Matar speaking -
How significant it is that the summit is being conducted in Oy Wye
Plantation on the Shabbat of Bereshit. Just when we read in all the
synagogues: "In the beginning God created heaven and earth," and then
we once again repeated the most famous commentary by Rashi: "Rabbi
Yitzhak said: The Torah should have begun with 'This month shall mark
for you,' which is the first commandment that was given to Israel.
What, then, was the reason for beginning with 'In the beginning'?
Because 'He revealed to His people His powerful works, in giving them
the heritage of nations.' For if the non-Jewish nations were to say
to Israel: You are thieves, because you conquered the lands of the
seven nations, they will reply to them: All the earth belongs to the
Holy One, blessed be He; He created it, and He gave it to whom He
pleased. When He desired, He gave it to them and when He desired, He
took it from them and gave it to us."

I am certain that no one belonging to the Israeli delegation at Wye
Plantation used this Rashi. No one said: Gentlemen, this land belongs
to us, to the Jewish people, because it was given to us by the Holy
One, blessed be He, and it cannot be divided, handed over, or given
 to another people. Period.

To the contrary, we have come to the tragic situation in which a
considerable portion of the Israeli public truly believes that we are
robbers. There is a public in Israel that truly believes that we
conquered this land without any right, and that this land belongs, at
least in part, to the Arabs who call themselves Palestinians.

And our leaders - who presumably belong to the national camp -
instead of adopting an aggressive propaganda line that would refute
this falsehood, instead of struggling against the Palestinian
propaganda that brilliantly reconstructs the entire past and the
entire truth - the only word we hear from our leaders is "security,
 security, security."

Anyone who is unyielding only on the subject of security without
being unyielding on our right to this land in actuality broadcasts to
the world the message that this land does not really belong to us,
but since we have somehow landed here, then please give us a bit of
security. I am surprised that no one has as yet arisen to tell us:
Gentlemen, if all that you want is security from the Arabs, then why
don't you pack your bags and go to Australia? The truth is that
anyone who is unyielding only regarding security in the end will have
neither security nor a land of his own.

The problem, therefore, is with the type of leaders we have. I agree
with those who say that we must find a replacement for the current
Prime Minister. Zvi Guttman said this well in Mekor Rishon this
 Shabbat, and I quote:
Netanyahu did not arrive in Washington in an airplane, but on a
donkey: we are the donkey of Netanyahu, whom we elected and whom we
brought this far. Now we must not only shake in weeping, but we must
shake off Netanyahu from our backs, to awaken and choose another
leader and another government for the national camp. The last time we
served as the donkey of the late Menachem Begin. He rode on our back
to Camp David. This is too much for us, to be the donkey of two
deluding politicians. Netanyahu has done a leftist deed and seeks
reward as a national rightist. It is preferable that Netanyahu fall,
than the people of Israel. (end of quote)

The question, of course, is with whom to replace him. I do not intend
to name names as present, but one principle must be clear: the next
leader of the national camp can only be someone who will completely
shake off the Oslo accords. Don't give me once again someone from the
Likud who says that he will continue with these accursed accords
because of "international commitments," but who will really, really,
insist upon reciprocity. For the entire matter of reciprocity is one
big bluff, because everything that is asked of the Arabs is
reversible: incitement/limitation of police/ an end to murders, in
contrast with the giving of land, which is irreversible as long as
 there is no war.

The only person for whom I will vote in the next elections will be
someone who will tell me, black on white, that the Oslo accords are
null and void. If no such person will arise, then I prefer Barak and
the left to run the country and take responsibility for the
consequences of Oslo and the inevitable war. A war for which Rabin
and Peres signed on September 13, 1993, when they shook the bloody
 hands of the archmurderer Arafat.

The left and the media are undoubtedly celebrating today in light of
the terrible agreement that is being formulated according to which a
national Prime Minister will give over the heart of the land to the
murderers. Yossi Beilin writes today in Maariv: "It transpires that
for the thirty years the right made capital of the vanity of the
wholeness of the land, it deceived itself and its voters."

My listeners, the joy of the left is short-lived. We are in the midst
of a demographic revolution that will upset the land, a revolution in
which the majority of the children of the next generation will belong
to the traditional-religious-national camp, and we will see - thanks
to the new leadership that will arise, true Jewish leadership - that
all agreements are reversible. The only agreement that is not
irrevocable is the covenant between the Holy One, blessed be He, and
the people of Israel and the land of Israel, as we read this week in
 the portion of Bereshit.

And specifically now we must not enter a state of depression. To the
contrary, we must gird ourselves with a great deal of faith and
willpower to actively struggle against the agreement. Even if the
Prime Minister will sign the agreement, we must not reconcile
ourselves to it or accept it. This agreement endangers the future of
the children of Israel, and we will struggle against it, like any
mother would fight for the lives of her children who are in danger.

 Have a good week.

And let us not forget to struggle for the release of Jonathan Pollard
and for the return of our MIA's: Ron Arad, Zechariah Baumel, Yehudah
 Katz, and Tzvi Feldman.

To: freemanlist@lists.io.com, jai@shamash.org, roger@aim.org
Subject: SOS - WYE PLANTATION FAX NUMBER

Dear Friends
Please see this message as an SOS call!

Bibi is engaged now in the Wye Plantation capitulation talks. The pressure
Clinton is exercising on him to deviate the attention from his impeachment is
so strong that Netanyahu -- G-d frobid -- may not be able to reject it.

It is very important to write him NOW, demanding PM to stand firm for the
national interests.

The fax number of Wye Plantation is:

410-827-9295

ATT: PM of ISRAEL
MR. BINYAMIN NETANYAHU
(and your message)

Please forward this message to every one you know. The more faxes he receives
the more chances we have to save Israel.

*******************************************************

Jerusalem, October 25, 1998

It's All Over, Except For The Shouting!

Or Is it? One of the factors that was completely
ignored at Wye, by William Clinton and Benjamin
Netanyahu, was the God of Israel. It was as if there
was no Old Testament, and no Exodus of the Jews from
Egypt to the Promised Land. Instead there was an
attempt to ignore the nature of this Holy Land, a re-
writing of history. Fortunately, the God of Israel is
yet to be heard from.

Why WYE Won't Work! It can't. President Clinton
may be willing to deal with the murderer Arafat, and
paint him white, but the blood of our children from
Maalot and our People elsewhere, shows through. All
that Jewish morality about punishing murderers, was
waived by Clinton, and Netanyahu and Sharon bowed in
acquiescence. Giving land to this murderer will only
bring further murders down the line. No peace is
possible with the man with whom Sharon will not shake
hands. Inexplicably and sadly, Sharon participated in
the Wye sham.

NETANYAHU has ignored the Jewish mandate he was
given in the election. He has learned nothing from his
tragic mistake of Hebron, and now apparently he has made
further concessions which virtually exposes the Jews of
Judea and Samaria, the Gaza Strip, Beer Sheva, and
even , Tel Aviv, to a similar fate which the Hebron
Jews face daily. When will we stop pretending that
Hamas, Fatah, Arafat, the PLO, are not one and the
same? Arafat will never make any genuine concessions
for peace. He continues to refuse to turn over
murderers of Jews, yes, even American Jews, and Clinton
will not press. On such a hollow morality, no world
can stand. Instead, more words, empty promises, and
Agreements which only Jews take seriously.

Women In Green will protest near the Prime
Minister's Residence, at Paris Square, on Monday,
October 26, 1998 at 10:15 a.m. and will continue to
raise their voices at the further giveaway at Wye of
our national and children's Heritage. What the Lord
has given, no man, not even Bill Clinton, nor Bibi
Netanyahu, can turn over to Arafat and the PLO!

Yes, Bibi Betrayed Us, and Something about Semantics

The following is the text of today's program by Nadia Matar, the
chairperson of Women for Israel's Tomorrow (Women in Green), on Arutz
7. Nadia speaks, in Hebrew, every Sunday after the 12:00 noon newscast, and in
English, every Sunday at 10:00 PM on 98.7 FM. Both audio segments can be heard via
the internet on www.a7.org/live.htm

Shalom to all our listeners!
This is Nadia Matar speaking -

So this is it, my listeners, in Wye Plantation Bibi established the
State of Palestine ... and he thereby betrayed the people of Israel
and Eretz Israel. I repeat - Bibi betrayed the people of Israel and
Eretz Israel. I don't understand why Aharon Domb had to squirm about
with apologies for calling the agreement the "betrayal agreement."
The agreement is an agreement of betrayal. The Even Shushan
dictionary defines the Hebrew word bagad (betrayed, acted
treasonably) as follows: breached trust, was not faithful.

If this is the meaning, then why can't this description be used?
Bibi did breach our trust, he was not faithful to his promises. He
promised his voters to insist upon reciprocity and especially upon
the extraditing of murderers, and this insistence upon reciprocity
was supposed to aid him in not implementing the continuation of the
accords - and in the end it transpires that Bibi completely waived
everything, and Israeli is about to hand over to its enemies an
additional 27 percent of its homeland for what ... for a promise that
the PLO this time, really, really will change the Covenant. If this
isn't called "betrayal," then what is called "betrayal"?

The fact that the Yesha Council (Council of Jewish Communities in
Judea, Samaria, and Gaza) changed the formulation from a "betrayal"
agreement to a "surrender" agreement frees Netanyahu of
responsibility. When we say a "surrender" agreement, we are actually
saying: "Nebekh, this poor guy, the pressure was so great that he
gave in ... what can be done?" I do not accept this. President Truman
said once: "If you cannot take the heat, get out of the kitchen." If
Netanyahu cannot withstand the pressure, then what is he doing in
 the position of Prime Minister?

The truth is that since the assassination of Rabin, people are
deterred from using the words "betrayed" or "betrayal." As if that
when they say that someone is a traitor, then this is incitement to
murder. Did you ever hear anything so ridiculous? My listeners, as
long as the word "begidah [betrayal] remains in the Even Shushan
dictionary, there is no reason not to use it in the correct context,
and no one will tell me if it is permitted or forbidden to use this
word. And when I say "Bibi betrayed us," I do not, Heaven forbid,
want to physically harm him. Whoever acted traitorously must be
placed on trial and punished. And being placed on trial and being
punished, in this case, means new elections.

The response of the national camp to the betrayal by Netanyahu must
be his immediate deposition and the finding of a new candidate for
 the leadership of the camp.

I do not want to speak at length now about the subject of the coming
elections, but rather to continue the topic with which I began when I
spoke about the word "betrayal" - the topic of semantics. And this is
what was written in Maariv this week (Oct. 22, page 13):
The Jerusalem District Court sentenced to six months' imprisonment the
extreme right activist Itamar Ben Gevir, who was found guilty of
violating an order prohibiting him from leaving the bounds of his
settlement, Mevaseret Zion, and of the possession of terrorist
propaganda material that included hundreds of stickers with the
message "Rabbi Kahana was right." (end of quote)

Itamar Ben Gevir went to jail because he possessed stickers saying
"Rabbi Kahana was right." These stickers, in the opinion of the
judges, are "terrorist material." Nu - I said to myself that if
saying "Rabbi Kahana was right" constitutes encouragement of
terrorism, then Rabbi Kahana must certainly have said very severe
things calling for terrorist actions. As one who did not know Rabbi
Kahana personally and who never read what he said, I decided to
examine this, and I began to read the books by Rabbi Kahana that I
 have in my house.

Four books in English and one book in Hebrew. One fascinating book
entitled "Why Be Jewish" that describes Jewish pride and a response to
all those assimilated ones; another book is entitled "Never Again!",
that calls upon Jews to respond instead of turning the other cheek; a
third book calls upon the Jews of the United States to immigrate to
Israel; a fourth book is a collection of articles that he wrote while
in prison; and the book in Hebrew: "Ha-Etgar - Eretz Segulah" (The
 Challenge: The Chosen Land).

In all these books I did not find any terrorist material! No call to
violence, no call to terror. The complete opposite is the case - I
found a proud, believing, Jew, who loves the Jewish people and Eretz
Israel with all his heart and all his soul. Even when he speaks of
the Arab problem, Rabbi Kahana does not use violent language, and
 thus he writes:
The best and most humane long-term solution, and the safest solution
for the Jews, is the effort to separate between the Arab minority and
the Jewish majority by the financed and planned migration of Arabs
from the territory of the State of Israel. We stress that the intent
is solely to willing migration, out of free choice and the free
decision of the Arab as an individual. (end of quote)

I admit that I did not read all of Rabbi Kahana's books, but one
thing is clear to me: that no "terrorist" is to be found in the books
of his that I have, and that, on many matters, "Rabbi Kahana was
right": he was right when he said that there is a Jewish destiny. He
was right when he said that our state need not imitate other
countries, but rather must possess its own unique character as a
Jewish state, and he was right on many other matters. Thanks to him,
incidentally, the gates of the Soviet Union were opened after he was
the first to demonstrate for Russian Jewry. And although I do not
always agree with the activity or proclamations of those who call
themselves those who "continue the way of Rabbi Kahana," I cannot
stand a situation in which Ben-Gevir is thrown into prison because of
stickers that say "Rabbi Kahana was right."

We in the national camp, above all others, must cry Gevalt and not
let this injustice pass, as if nothing had happened. I don't doubt
that none of the judges read a single book by Rabbi Kahana, but they
nevertheless dare to smear him with the tag of "terrorist." In
contrast, when Ahmed Tibbi justifies the murder of settlers and
continues to the be the right hand of the great terrorist of our
time, Yasser Arafat, the establishment is silent, because this is
democracy! When Arab MK's incite to violence against Jews, nothing is
done to them, because this is called freedom of expression ... but
Ben-Gevir goes to prison because he has a sticker saying "Rabbi
 Kahana was right."

I call upon my listeners to complain loudly against this suppression
and to send faxes to the State Attorney's Office,
(02) 627-4481. We must realize that if we are silent now, then we
should not be surprised when they come to arrest us for saying "Rabbi
Kook was right" or "Rabbi Benny Elon is right."

And to return to the matter at hand: tomorrow, Monday, at 10:00 a.m.,
the Women in Green will demonstrate opposite the Prime Minister's
Residence in Jerusalem, in Paris Square, with the single message:
"Bibi, you promised, we believed, you betrayed." He did not only
betray the people of Israel and Eretz Israel, he also betrayed
Jonathan Pollard. He had Pollard in his hand, and with a little
stubbornness Bibi could have returned home at least with Pollard ...
 but Bibi didn't insist.

We will neither forget nor forgive!

Jerusalem, October 28, 1998

                   Why Wye Won't Work

The Israel Government Press Office has
recently released a list of over 20 separate Arab attacks
on Jews since September of this year. During Wye these
attacks continued uninterrupted, and sadly, they are with
us even after Wye. President Clinton and his Secretary
of State Albright may be willing to deal with the
murderer Arafat and his followers and paint them white;
however, Arafat's responsibility for the blood of Jewish
children at Maalot, and the continuous spilling of Jewish
blood, before and after that massacre of children, is all
too clear. Such murders create a vivid picture for all
objective people of what Arafat's true nature is.
It further boggles the mind why President Clinton, who
has supposedly declared war on terrorism, chooses to
ignore the fact that Arafat played an integral role in
the unpunished killing of United States Ambassador to
Sudan, Cleo Noel, and his deputy George Moore.
Moreover, in Lebanon, it was Arafat's "guerrillas" who
were reportedly implicated in the bomb blast that killed
250 American soldiers.
Arafat, the chosen "peace partner", demonstrates his
virulent hatred of the Jewish People and Israel through
the Palestinian Authority's school texts, and its
propaganda in its tightly controlled media. In his
speech at the Wye signing, Arafat praised, and refused to
denounce in Arabic or otherwise, the suicide bombers and
their bomb makers. President Clinton did not, nor did
Wye, make Arafat honor his obligations under Oslo to turn
over the murders of Jews who are within the areas he
controls, and who go unpunished to date. Arafat
magnanimously condescends, with pressure on Israel from
Clinton, to take a present of more of the Promised Land
from the Jews.  Arafat promises again to fight terrorism;
all of his promises in the past have proven to be utterly
worthless. The same carpet is being sold by him once
again to the gullible, who think they have no choice but
to believe Arafat. Netanyahu doesn't realize, even now,
that he is no match for Arafat at the bargaining table!
It is indisputable that Hamas, Fatah, Arafat and the
PLO all have expressed the same goal to destroy Israel;
they only differ as to how to best realize the "final
solution." No other People in the long history of
mankind has ever given up parts of their ancient
homeland, and obtained a "true peace" thereby.
President Clinton's pressing for a quick peace may well have
other motives besides Israel's welfare. Giving over more
land to Arafat, only creates more havens of refuge for
Arab killers, and does not bode well for Israel's
peaceful future.
In the final analysis Wye won't work, because the
nature of the beast is Arafat. When he is the pillar on
which an Agreement rests, any sought after peace will
rapidly sink into a quicksand of terror.

	Ruth and Nadia Matar
