We Must Apply Sovereignty Confidently and Fearlessly

The Mothers’ Vigil concluded with Hatikva. The organizers are releasing an additional video including the words of Members of Knesset Kalfa, Moshe Feiglin, Rabbi ben Dahan and Mualem-Rafaeli.

In the new video clip that they released yesterday (Monday), Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, who are the heads of Women in Green as well as the organizers of the Mothers’ Vigil near the prime minister’s house, present an additional group of public figures who have visited the vigil’s tent and have joined in the call to apply Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.
Among the speakers was MK Zevulun Kalfa (Jewish Home), who stated that “The time has come to apply full and comprehensive sovereignty over the entire territory without exception. There is nothing to fear”.
Kalfa spoke rejecting the claim the birth rate among the Arab population of Judea and Samaria is increasing. Kalfa stated that the data presented by various bodies on the Arab birth rate is nothing but “balloons floating in the air”, in his words. Kalfa notes that no one has investigated what the true data is regarding the Arab birth rate in Judea and Samaria and in his estimation, just as there is a drastic decline in births in the Bedouin sector, it will be so in Judea and Samaria as well, as this population is exposed to educational and employment opportunities. “The time has come for us to say it, firstly to ourselves internally and from here it will project outward to others”.
With his words, Deputy Head of the Knesset, MK Moshe Feiglin, added another layer to the importance of sovereignty over the entire land of Israel, saying that “the goal of the true process, the process of sovereignty, that we must present as an alternative to the process of withdrawal, must be to shape the State of Israel as a Jewish state. Territorial holdings will continue to strengthen the Jewish identity of the State of Israel until it serves as an agent for the implementation of the Jewish People’s goals to improve the world in the Kingdom of the Almighty”.
Deputy Minister of Religion, MK Rabbi Eli ben Dahan, announced, “We demand to apply Israeli sovereignty on the entire territory of Judea and Samaria. This is our land and we have never been ashamed to say it. Jews all over the world aspired to come to the entire Land of Israel, to a whole land of Israel and not just parts of it”.
Rabbi ben Dahan went on to state that the Mothers’ Vigil calling for the application of sovereignty is intended to strengthen the prime minister’s stand in dealing with the political pressures that he is subjected to. The strength of the mothers who are leading the great struggle for the Land of Israel will bring the government of Israel to the correct conclusion, which is that we must apply sovereignty over Judea and Samaria”.
The last politician to join the Mothers’ Vigil, which lasted seven days, was MK Shuli Mualem-Rafaeli, who emphasized the need to return “to the simple truth that the Land of Israel belongs to the people of Israel”.
Our role is essentially to bring about the application of Israeli sovereignty over all parts of the Land of Israel. The people of Israel are Rightists and traditional and believe that we belong to our state and to our Land. The true solution is that there will be only one state, only a Jewish state in the Land of Israel. The way to strengthen the People of Israel is for the land to remain whole”.
In answer to the words of Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, that in his opinion it is more important to maintain the integrity of the people than to maintain the integrity of the land, MK Mualem-Rafaeli stated: “We do not have to choose if we are for the People of Israel or the Land of Israel. Protecting the People of Israel is accomplished by guarding the Land of Israel and protecting the Land of Israel is realized by protecting the People of Israel”.
The Mothers’ Vigil, which was launched, as noted, on Sunday of last week by the Women in Green movement jointly with Matot Arim and Professors for a Strong Israel, ended with dozens of participants singing Hatikva together, concluding the demonstration in which many participants took part from throughout the Land over the course of the week.
Within the next few days the organizers of the vigil will upload video clips to the Women in Green’s Internet site, including a presentation, “the people speak to the prime minister”, which took place during the Mothers’ Vigil. In this presentation, passersby as well as veteran activists for the Land of Israel, rabbis, public figures and academicians appeal directly to the prime minister with the call to end the discussions about dividing the Land and giving parts of it to foreign elements, and instead, to apply Israeli sovereignty over Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley.
